Folks this is not a for sale hunt as such. Details are not even worked out yet. I am looking at going back to Namibia with perhaps a sidetrip to a neighboring country. Nothing firm yet just looking to see if anyone would be interested. I am 90% sure I am going no matter what. I thought I would open it up to you guys and see if theren is any interest. Daily rate 350 to 500 range depending onwhat hunting and houw many. Trophy fees can be all over the board at the end of the season, normally some great deals. Could have use of plane if we wanted it. 500/hr not per hunter so again a couple people we do better. If anyone is interested please contact me with your questions, requests, concerns. I will see what we can work out. Mike Smith Please pm me for phone and addrerss info etc. This is going to be a very flexible trip wether it is just me or a small group. Happiness is a warm gun

Aloha Mike, Good to see you actively hunting again. Did you go on the hunt with your friend who was not in good health. If you did, it's a wonderful thing that you did for him. Since you're thinking of Oct. or Nov. this year, you may want to check out what Tommy Hall is offering. Tommy is the current PH and farm manager of Otjikoko game farm. He is resigning like right now, as he and friend have acquired an extremely large concession in the Kunene area which is the entire northwestern Namibia area, about 15% of the entire country. It will be a 10 day premium hunt under canvas, true safari hunting. Vehicles will be used to get to the general area, but one must walk and hunt. It is to cull some world class oryx and springbok. You get to take 9 animals, including an ostrich in the base fee. However, all are non-exportable. Exportable animals may be taken for applicable trophy fees. Tommy advises that world class 17" to 20" springbok and 40" oryx are common. There may be PAC animals, ele and lion, but that is always last minute and the government does not allow pre-advertising of availability. Tommy wants 55,000 Namibian for the hunt and it includes return flight ticket from area to Windhoek. This is all new so he has not yet advised of the trophy fees. Since this availability is very late into the season, he will only take 4 hunters from Oct. till Nov. He mentioned that next year, leopards, and crocs will be on quota. If you or friends may be interested, I'll get more specific information and forward to you. Geoff Shooter

Aloha Mike, Tommy runs the hunting for 5 large conservancies in northwestern Namibia. The land area is huge with over 1.3 or 13 million hectares. I just caught you post by shear accident. I will send you a PM tomorrow with all of the details and contact information. I have been out of commission for a couple of months due to severe health issues. Almost didn't make it and just happy to be alive and able to hunt again. Geoff Shooter

Sorry to hear that my friend, hope all is well now. I hadnt heard anything about you being so ill. I am pretty much out of contact with everyone lately due to work and other issues. I am sorry for not being able to stay in touch for awhile. If it was not for AR I wouldnt catch up with a lot of my friends. I will look for the post when I get home from work.
