This is a great no frills affordable hunt for just about anyone. High success rates and family oriented ranch.

Texas Whitetail Hunt Special (Free Range)

I am starting to book for this fall/winter for the Highlonesome Ranch whitetail hunts. The ranch is low fence/free range and fair chase located just north of Sonora Texas on the Schleicher-Crockett county line (in good deer country). The ranch has fed heavy the past several years and even in the drought the deer were heavy and healthy with this season being no different. Ranch size is 1,600 acres inside a 4,000 acre+ family owned property.

Only a handful of hunts will be offered with 3 and 5 day hunt options with a group up to 4 being about the max we can accomodate. Hunts will be semi guided with Lodging included. Photos and more detailed ranch info available on my website under Whitetail hunts (references also listed there).

Hunts will be out of blinds over feeders, senderos, or water holes. We can also rattle and try some spot and stalk hunting if weather allows it.

3 Day Hunt- Only $1650
1 mature buck any size, 1 doe and predators

5 day hunt- $2500
1 mature buck any size, 2 does and predators

when is hunting season for the deer down there. I have a 12 year old who wants to hunt, and thought this might be good for him. But he's in school, of course, and we;d have to fanagle time off for him to come down there. I'm his "god granddad", so his parents would have to be involved.

We have quite a long season and it starts (rifle) the first weekend in November and runs through the first weekend in January with a youth weekend hunt typically being the last weekend in October and another youth weekend mid January.
