Folks here are a couple of Mid-Asian Ibex hunts in Kazakhstan. The main difference between the two is the physical aspect of the hunt.

Hunt #1 is the easier hunt where you hunt at around 3000' feet and stay in a warm cabin. You drive everyday to the hunting area and return every night.

Hunt #2 is a traditional horseback hunt, living out of tents and for the more fit and adventurous. Altitude here is 9000'+

Dates 1st August to end of October

Getting there: fly to Almaty, Kazakhstan and drive around 4 hours to the hunting area.
Trophy expectation: 39" to 44"

7 hunting days, 1x1 €5,500

As usual cheaper than the other guy by quite a bit.

I just heard from the outfitter that 2017 will be the last year that they will be allowed to hunt in the National Parks. Anyone wanting to go on an easy mid-asian Ibex hunt. Do it now!

They only have a few tags left this year for hunt # 1.

The area for hunt # 2 will also be closed for good. Great place to try for a 50" Ibex!
