Astrid,

Welcome to AR.

I have deleted your previous post, as it had no details of the offered hunt.

This one falls short too, but I am leaving here for the next couple of days hoping you will answer questions already posted.

Also, I am unable to find any details of the outfit your are offering the hunts for.

Please provide these too.

A little help on some additional information on camp and

Kaka Matama - Game Trails Uganda LTD hunting Consortium...is this the PH & company?

I have found on the web search hunts for Kaka Matama in both Katonga & Mburro areas of SW Uganda

Also, From what i found these are Cape Buffalo and that the majority are in the 33 to 40 inch bracket with a few above that mark from reports that i am looking at.

Anything you would like to add.

I also see you have been his booking agent since 2000.

Dear Saeed,

I like to thank you for your message and like to apologize that my post is not anwering all questions.

I have given the location of the hunting area, the animals available, the price and as PH and outfitter I published Kaka Matama.

Is my post acceptable if add to PH and outfit: Kaka Matama / GAME TRAILS UGANDA LTD or do I have to put in further details, if so pls be so kind and let me know which details would still be missing.

Looking forward to your reply so that I can change my post in the correct way, I thank you in the meantime
wil not delete my post.

With best regards,

Astrid Gorsline

They are cape not nile buffalo. Kaka has no kob but we organise a combination on buffalo and kob, however that cannot be done in 8 days as you will have to change areas. If you want more detailed information pls let us know.

Dear Astrid

I didn't have a chance to shoot a good buffaloe at Lake Mburo.

You for sure remember: I booked a buffaloe hunt 2003 with Your former company "Safari Willscher" in Uganda. Your company went bankrupt and You didn't pay the money to Kaka Matama.

Last month we got our last payment by installments after 9 years. Thank You very much.

I wish You much luck on the american hunting market. Here in Germany I can't find anything about Your new company "Asted safaris" neither in hunting magazines nor in the internet. Do You have any website?

For what its worth I knew Astrid when she was Safaris Wilscher" They solely booked for the company I worked for then- that was Zambezi Hunters in the Dande North. We never had an issue with her at all. I cannot comment after "wilscher became Astrid Safaris" but up to then she came highly recommended. Cheers buzz

I know a guys who did not get their Buffalo in good areas such as Massai land etc. This is unfortunate but quite possible even in top areas.

I'll second you on that Buzz - she was always an up-front agent when the company was Wilscher. Ted took on the role of PH in the business when they owned Kilombero North Safaris.

Dear Josef,

I did not hear from either you or Kaka that you did not get a chance at a "good" buffalo. Did you shoot a buffalo and if so how large? Five clients last month shot 10 buffalo (two were wounded and lost). It is true the company I managed went bankrupt and I have just now finished paying off all debts. I focused solely on paying off the debt and have not spend any money on ads or web sites.

Kaka asked us to move a bunch of buffalo on short notice that he has to shoot by end December so I put a notice here on his behalf. It is the best short buffalo hunt available in Africa for December but is only for December.

Dear Fair Game.

We loaned our Uganda photo album to a gentleman in Poland who is showing them to his friends so I can't post new photos until I get it back. But if you do an AR search on Kaka Matama you will find photos of the 48.5 inch buffalo and a good leopard. I believe it was Kathi who posted the buffalo. I posted the leopard.

I don't know if Kaka is working with Bob Kern or not as he has not mentioned it and I did not ask him.

Dear Saeed,

I think that answers all the questions.

VBR,

Astrid

Dear Astrid,

You twist my words. To get it straight:

I was not hunting at Lake Mburo and I was not hunting with Kaka Matama.

I couldn't go to Uganda an so I didn't have a chance on a good buffaloe, because Your company "Safari Willscher", where I booked the hunt, went bankrupt 2003, just before our departure to Uganda. I have paid to You 16.000 EUR (=21.000 USD) for a 10 day hunt with my wife as observer, the flights and a Gorillasafari in advance. You didn't pay the hunt to Kaka Matama nor the flights nor the Gorillapermits, so we couldn't go. We were very disappointed.

Also You didn't pay the money back voluntary and I'm sure, without such a good lawyer, I wouldn't have seen any Cent. You over and over again stopped the payment and we had to go very often to the lower district court to send a bailiff to You.

There were very positive hunting reports about Kaka Matama and his hunting area at Lake Mburo in the german hunting magazine "Jagen Weltweit" in the last years and I'm sure every hunter has a good chance to get a good buffaloe, if it happens not the same to him like to us.
