As of last year I have started donating a black bear hunt to Wounded Warrior in Action Foundation. I have committed to having hosting some hunters every year at an extreme discounted price, covering my costs only. Here is what I have come up with, it is your chance to thank a purple heart recipient for there service.

WWIAF and Skinner Creek Hunts
Sponsored spring black bear hunting in BC.

Sponsor a hero and join us on a yearly trip to BC which will be held in the beginning of June every year. Here’s how it works:
Skinner Creek Hunts has donated the majority of the hero’s hunt cost. What we are looking for is a hunter to step up and come to Skinner Creek at the regular hunt price and pick up the remaining hunt cost for one or more Purple Heart recipients. WWIAF will organize and take care of transportation and costs to and from Skinner Creek Hunts for the chosen veteran.
Cost of the hunt and what it covers:
$7000.00 plus 6% tax, 2 on 1 guide service for 6 days of hunting and will include license and tag for you and your sponsored hero.
The cost of the hero’s chaperone stay at Skinner Creek is also covered in the hunt cost.
All meals and accommodation are included in the hunt price.

Checks will be made out to WWIAF as a donation, this way you can get a tax receipt.
WWIAF is a nonprofit organization.

$2500.00 deposit holds your spot.

This will be a spot and stalk as well as thaving the choice to use hounds.

I know there are some CPA's on here who could better address this, but I believe the only donation you could claim would be that amount over the value of your hunt.

Yes I suspect that is the case, I am hoping the hunt would be looked at 50/50 giving a $3500 deduction. I there are a few CGA's on here.

It would be nice for someone to send a vet here hunting. So far no one is stepping up to bring a wounded hero to BC. A few guys have made donations to WWIAF, or are going to make donations to help the WWIAF get a hunter here.

Thanks to those that have contacted Col. (ret)John McDaniel about helping out.

I guess i need to break down the $7000.00 cost as it must be confusing to some as there has been know interest in sponsoring a vet.

Normal 2 on 1 hunt $4200.00/hunter $8400.00
plus 2 license ant tags $800.00
One extra person $150/day x 6 days $900.00
Total $10 100.00
I am donating The $3100.00 to the vet,
So you are paying for your hunt and donating the rest towards the the vets hunt and tags.

To top it all off you will get a tax receipt for the cost of the hunt.

I hope this explains things a little better.

Checks will be paid to WWIAF not to me directly

Boys, this is a first class spot and stalk hunt and not one person has stepped up to take a hero hunting.
If in doubt of the quality of hunt here call for references or call John McDaniel from WWIA at 813-579-8151.
Check out www.wwiaf.org and see what these guys do for your combat wounded
Thanks.
