As for the other guys, don't (verbally) shoot the messenger. Marius did not make the rules. Marius is well versed in finding the proper animals to harvest and has close ties with other PH's. If you want to complain about the rules, perhaps you may want to file a complaint with the proper Romanian Foresting (?) authorities instead of badgering Marius. Good luck Marius. Ray

I will try to answer that: exactly like the other hunts for big game. In the most hunting scenario in this world, hunters are conducted by PH or other people who has the authority to guide. In this particular case, all my hunting guides are experienced in bear hunting. I will guarantee that all the bears will be under the export limit legistation. In a case of any mistake of course and without any doubt that hunt is for free.

If you read all the opinions, nobody accused of Marius of anything
All we wanted to know about is details of the hunt and how is conducted because there were limitations and restrictions by government

M.Shy - Well...you are certainly entitled to your opinion. But, after re-reading over each post at least twice before, plus once today my opinion remains the about the same.
I never said you were accusing Marius of anything. What I did notice is a couple posts placed their mistrust of whomever will be measuring the bear/skin and when this will happen.

If you still have questions, perhaps listing them by number would be a good idea.
1. Who
2. What.
3. When, etc.

cB , simple questions, they were answered and I see nothing wrong with my questions
For you, when and if you hunted in Eastern Europe, things sometimes change rather quickly so asking questions to smallest details is a good thing
No different then just about anywhere else in the world for that matter
Marius as far as I know has stellar reputation and would not dare to criticize him for anything as far as I’m concerned
Some of the other guys seem to make a bigger deal out of it

In my specific case, because I was interested in the offer.
Nevertheless, this is an open forum and even if you are not going to buy a hunt you are welcome to make questions or give opinions and everybody posting a hunt offer here must be aware of it.
I specially dont understand people Who seems to be upset when others are making questions.
But anyway, for me is all clear already, so lets Marius continue with the main pourpouse of his post and maybe answer further New questions from other members of the forum regarding his offer.

I have a cancellation for a bear license. Dates available are 09-15.10.2024 and will be a fixed price 10000 euros including organisation. Normal price including Organisation was 12900 euros.

Hello Marius.
What is the trophy size expectation for this offer?
The 10.000 need to be paid upfront? at the end of the succesful hunt? at the end of the hunt even if is not succesful or bear is wonded and lost?
Is it a chance to bring a cameraman to film everything?

Hello, I will try to answer to your questions:
• trophy size estimated in what? (To give you a correct answer)
• 5k by 1 of October the rest, after the papers from measurement commission.
• wounded and not recovered you will pay full price.
• for unsuccessful hunt we keep only 1500 euros organisation
• cameramen I need to ask for that.

I was asking about CIC estimated.
So if the hunter is not shooting is a 1500 cost and if he shoots and hits the bear another 8500.
That is not a bad offer.

I don’t know how many hunters really measured bears skins by CIC method….. but they are talking about size etc. I would say we will get a bear up to law limitation of 419 CIC. In case of not taking the bear hunter is paying only 1500 euros.

I’m in Romania now hunting red stag with another outfitter. I’ve seen 7 bears in 2 days, and we’re not looking for them! From what I’m seeing and hearing, taking a bear is almost a certainty. Given Marius’ reputation, taking a nice skin home shouldn’t be a problem. But, of course, there are no guarantees when hunting wild game.

I’m travelling home from Romania after a four day deer hunt. We had five separate bears walk by our tree stand on the last evening, and saw 10 other bears while stalking deer. Romania’s brown bear population is incredible!
