John Peterson who I've known for 20 years and worked with the last 5 has 4 spots left for fall '10 brown bear on his exclusive guide area in the Togiak National Wildlife Refuge in Unit 17.

The brown bear hunting continues to just get better in Unit 17 with more bears seen each season. Seeing ten to twenty bears in a day is normal and a good day would offer many more sightings.

John is allowed 6 bears per season in the Refuge and on average kills 5 per year with the average year to year being 9 foot squared.

The hunts are available 20 Sept-10 Oct. with 3 hunter per hunt in 2 camps.

I am quite interested in shooting a very large brown bear. Do you recommend this out fitter or is there another outfitter that on average shoots bigger bears. Please send me more information. Rod Janz
