Sir,
The price remains the same, but to shoot a trophy over 115 CIC would be very difficult. Honestly, this area in particular has trophies between 95 and 110 CIC points. I can guarantee a trophy over 115 CIC (male or female) in other area. But the hunting period(number of days) and the price would not be the same.

The Romanian cuisine is a diverse blend of different dishes from several traditions with which it has come into contact, but it also maintains its own character. It has been greatly influenced by Ottoman cuisine while it also includes influences from the cuisines of other neighbours, such as Germans, Serbians, and Hungarians. he main ingredients used by Romanian chefs are meats such as pork, beef and lamb, fish, vegetables, dairy products and fruit. A traditional Romanian meal may include:

» Appetizer

All kinds of cheeses, cold cuts and vegetable spreads.

» Soup

"Ciorba de perisoare" (meatball soup), "ciorba taraneasca" (vegetable soup, with or without meat), "ciorba de burta" (tripe soup).

» Fish

"Saramura" (grilled carp in brine), "nisetru la gratar" (grilled Black Sea sturgeon) or "scrumbie la gratar" (grilled herring).

» Entree

"Tocanita" or "tochitura" (meat stew seasoned with onions and/ or spices), "ghiveci" (over 20 vegetables cooked in oil), "sarmale" (pickled cabbage leaves stuffed with a mix of minced meats, rice and spices) and "mititei" (The "Wee Ones" - small skinless grilled sausages) are among the favorites.

» Dessert

"Papanasi" (cottage cheese donuts, topped with sour cream and fruit preserve), "clatite cu branza" (crepes filled with cottage cheese, raisins and spices) and "cozonac" (traditional holiday sweet bread filled with walnuts, poppy seeds or cream cheese).

A traditional drink enjoyed with appetizers is "tuica" (a potent plum brandy) which varies in strength, dryness and bouquet according to the production area.

When I will arrive at my office, I will post more picture.
Thanks for your interes.

Peter,
The average distance is 150-250 meters, about 490 - 825 ft but in five days of hunting I can guarantee you 100% success rate. And I think your wife will find this trip absolutely delightful because very close to the hunting area are some of the most interesting tourist attractions.

I'm going. Big Grin
George has been very easy to work with. He will customize a trip based on the hunter's interests, abilities, and schedule.
This forum is an excellent resource. A few weeks ago I had no thoughts of hunting chamois. I really had no idea that Romania had anything to interest a hunter. Now I am anticipating an awesome trip to a a part of the world I have never seen. Life is good!

Dina, allow me to commend you for posting this. It is far better if a hunting offer is up front about what can realisticly be expected.

Mho,
I assure you (from my experience) that a hunter who is really interested will find details of trophy size, shooting distance, the percentage of success in recent years through a simple email to the seller. Anyway, I will keep your suggestion in mind in the future and I will post more details of my hunting packages.
Thanks,
George

Yes, it is.
May I ask if you had a nice hunt and if you shoot a big trophy?

I had an excellent hunt and shot 102, 101 and 115 CIC trophies. The chamois population was good at that time but not

We could not get to the cabin because all the snow on the road was frozen, and we had to walk with our gear for the last kilometers.

I shot the 115 trophy on the other side of the mountains. If memory serves, we had to cross through a small tunnel on the road... am I right?

I have hunted Romania a few times after that for wild boar, and I am looking back to hunt chamois again. Trophy fees for chamois are very high in your country and the last years I have been hunting them in the Austrian and French Alps, the Balkans, and the Caucasus.

I will scan a picture I took of the frozen lake, more or less from the same location, 19 years ago...

It is probably the same as it was, but it is impressive how much your country has changed in all these years!
