About the cull package, Mike:

How many hinds would you expect to shoot per day?

May a hunter with his European Firearm Permit bring his own rifle and ammunition into ireland?

Thank You!

.

Mike, Can you expand on the gun licensing for visitors. Understand that original papers / licenses have to be submitted ?

Hi 375hnh,

Yes you can if you're just planning on hunting. If you're are planning on touring Ireland before or after your hunt I would recommend travelling without one.

I have clients hunting this year who will be touring before their hunt and they decided not to bring rifles.

Hi Charlie64,

Either myself our my outfitter would send you the application forms for your hunting licence and deer permit prior to your arrival in Ireland. You would then send these back to us and we would send them off to the relevant authority. The price of this is included in the package.

Hi, Mike--

For the 2X1 hunts (couples' package and cull hunt) is the price quoted per hunter or is that split between them?

Do I/we have to redo deer permits again for my Oct. makeup hunt from Last year or are/is the deer permit paperwork I filled out still good?
If have to do new permits, when will that happen?

You have to apply every year for an annual deer hunting licence. New application forms can be downloaded from NPWS.ie as and from Monday March 15th.
There will be a rush !

Hi Alvaro,

It all really depends on deer movement and weather conditions but I would say your looking at one or two hinds per outing and there are two outings per day.

Yes you can bring your rifle and ammo into Ireland with your EFP but we will also have to fill out a non resident firearms permit application.

Hope this helps.

My outfitter emailed me over the weekend to let me know that the lodge where hunters stay will more than likely increase their prices in January 2022.

If anyone books a 2022 hunt with a deposit between now and the end of 2021 the prices I have quoted will be honoured.

I have AR members heading over in October and November this year. These are all hunts that were postponed in 2020 so we are keeping our fingers crossed that travel will open up soon.

With kind regards
Mike
