Yo ! Tyrell Duce, a guide and outfitter phoned me this morning to tell me that his mule deer hunter who is scheduled to be hunting the last week of the season (Last day is November 30th) has lost all of his gear and guns enroute from Costa Rica.Apparently the airlines have lost it all. Who would have thought ??? So he would dearly like to sell this hunt and has discounted it from $5,000 U.S. to $3,500 U.S. and if the hunter wishes to add a white tail it would be another $1,200. The area is F300 and in most all of Alberta the mule deer are on a draw for residents which has resulted in very high quality hunting. I would expect that the hunter would get a 170 class buck . If he/she decides to go for white tail after the mulie is in the salt I would expect that with the rut in full swing that there should be a few white tails to look over ... This area is in the extreme South Western Corner in the shadow of the Rocky Mountains and adjacent to Waterton Lakes National Park which is adjacent, of course, to Glacier National Park. Canadian Residents: Mule Deer - $ 122.33 White tail - $122.33 Win - $ 8.00 Wildlife Certificate - $28.22 All above plus 5 % G.S.T. Non Resident Aliens : Wild life Certificate - $ $28.22 Win Card : $8.00 Mule Deer - $ 188.57 White tail Deer - $188.57 All licenses in Canadian funds and 5% G.S.T. must also be paid to the government. Tyrell's phone number is 1- 403-653-2104 and his cell # is 1- 403-308-7829 My home number is 403-329-0904 but since I am hunting every day I can be reached at 1-403-892-5476. There are some dandy bucks available right now ... and the last hunter got his buck in one hour and it was about a 180 buck I believe ... If you can come in the next couple of days you will have a really good hunt with a fine man ... Richard Powell

I doubt if Tyrell has a website as he doesn't even have e mail. I have hunted elk with him many times and he probably has the # 1 elk hunting area in Alberta ...IMO .. ( 2 non resident tags and always spoken for years in advance) But that is another topic. I reckon that the hunt would start as soon as the hunter got there and got his license. If I wasn't an Albertan (and therefore prevented from getting a tag from an outfitter) I would do the hunt myself .... I hope someone who is low on a good mule deer takes the hunt. Next year is a long time from now ...
