WV2WY2013 AR Wyoming Antelope Hunt with Hiland Outfitters
AR members,
This past September we had the first AR Antelope Hunt in Medicine Bow, Wyoming. I am again going to offer this hunt in September 2013. Frank and Joyce Beller will be there to help cook and host this hunt.
Hunt information as follows:
Hunt will take place 45 minutes Northeast of Medicine Bow, Wyoming.
This will be a 4 day hunt, (Hunt Sept 26-30,2013)
Hunt cost is $1350.00 paid to Hiland Outfitters, LLC
Frank and Joyce Beller are taking care of the meals and an additional $100.00 goes to them.
A deposit of $300.00 is due at time of booking and another $300.00 due once the license are drawn. Balance will be due in camp. If for some reason you fail to draw, the deposit is returned in full.
Other costs will be;license $286.00 non-resident,(License will be applied for in January of 2013 via the Wyoming Game and Fish website); Any meat processing you wish to have done in town; and gratitudes to staff.
We will cape your mount for delivery to your taxidermist at no charge. Our guides have all been trained by a taxidermist.
A game pole and freezers are available for hunters wanting to skin and quarter their own animal.
Airport pick up is in Casper, Wyoming only.
We can take bow hunters, spot and stalk is our major way of hunting. We will have blinds set up along water holes.
We can only take 10 hunters on this hunt, meals, lodging, guide and ranch transportation is included in the price of the hunt.
This hunt will be offered on a first come basis. This past Septembers hunt report is listed in the American Big Game Forum. We had a great group of hunters this year. I am sure any of them wouldnt care if you sent them a PM with any questions about the hunt.
If you have any questions feel free to contact me anytime.

Frank BellerTom: Don't forget me; I'll be hunting again this year so I can shoot another 30# antelope fawn. I'll leave the mature bucks for the other guys. Oh, by the way, this year a cash prize will be given to both the biggest AND smallest buck so I have a chance to win.

I have you down to hunt again. You would have won this year!!
Thanks

bobbr50Frank, remember you have to kill one to qualify for the smallest! Coyotes off the back porch don't count.

Hunter54What's the average size of buck antelope that you have on the property?
Any chances at 16" bucks up that way?
21 November 2012, 05:35
Frank BellerI'll let Tom answer about the 16" antelope. For me, it's impossible. I shot the smallest one this year in Wyoming, today I shot the smallest deer in deer camp - everyone but me got 8 points, & I shot a spike.
It's the "Curse of the Hippo" for me. Two years ago I shot a hippo in Zim, but we never found it. Since then, my hunting luck has been bad. I also need to kill a 16" antelope & break this curse. So Tom, what's our chances ?

WV2WYWe have shot a few 15+ Antelope on this ranch over the years. The average is 12-14, we have never taken a true 16 off the ranch though.
I have an Area where a 16 is possible, a hunter will have to hunt hard and be willing to pass many animals with a chance of going home empty handed.
Frank,
Best of luck to you!

megsdadTom, I just got my pronghorn mount back from the taxidermist. It looks really good and the taxidermist said that your guides did a very professional job caping the animal. Last year was a great hunt and with Frank and Jamie back you should have another outstanding time. For you new guys, Joyce is an outstanding cook. Good luck to all.
