Buffle in the tall Burkina grass

Ok that wasnt a typo, Buffalo are called Buffle in Burkina Faso. They are the West African Savannah buffalo. Colors range from black to brown and red and is not just an indication of age.

This is a special late season offer in April (it will be hot but the hunting will be excellent). The price is based on a 6 day hunt on a 2x1 basis.

6,400 euros daily rate, You can each take: 1 buffalo + 1 medium antelope (select one from Kob, Harness bushbuck or Hartebeest) + 2 small animals - select 1 from Oribi or duiker and 1 from warthog or baboon.

Here is the fun part (LOW trophy fees)

waterbuck 420
reedbuck 290
bushbuck 390
warthog 130
oribi 70
kob 360
duiker 70
baboon 60

Dip and pack 500 euros. Trophy crating and shipping will be extra as per freight forwarders pricing.

Hunting licence 400 euros
Gun permit 120 euros

Included in daily rate:
-----------------------
Meet and assistance at airport
Transfer to camp and back to Ouagadougou
Ph (speaks enough english) and team
camp staff
Daily laundry
All meals
Bottled water and soft drinks
English speaking assistance from time of arrival to departure

Not included:
-------------
One night hotel stay on arrial in Ouagdougou.
Bar tab
Tips and gratuities

FAQ
----

There are no security problems in Burkina whatsoever. The problems are in Mali to the North

Importing trophies from Burkina is the same as from anywhere else in Africa

Rifle permit takes a few weeks to obtain, we will need all your rifle details

You will need to get a visa from the Burkina Embasssy in DC or NY, this can be sent for by mail

To get there from the States there are daily flights to Paris and from there a connecting flight to Ouagadougou. There are others but Air France is probably the best carrier. Burkina is a bit closer than destinations in Southern Africa.

As with everything in this world outfitters charge different prices so if you can buy what you think is the same hunt in Burkina for 1,500 euros, then that's what you should do, but please don't debate that with me. This concession borders two national parks and there is abundant, quality game to be had.

Thanks for looking

With three trophies and the extras looks like a great buff hunt in the 11K-12K range all in except flights and transfers. Certainly attractive in light of what just happened in Zim.

Bingo! Given the recent events in Zim and elsewhere, I worry this place is going to see an increase in demand/prices in coming years. If it is still open and reasonable like today, I will be going to Burkina Faso for buff/lion in a few years.

West Africa is a great destination for a buffalo adventure and just a cool hunt! Great timing Arjun!
