I will be running the trappline for clients again this January and am offering a new price of $5500 for a 7 day trapline trip. A price of $5000 is extended to a 2x1 if you have a buddy that wants to come along as well. Might want a witness with you as no one is going to believe the stories you'll have to tell when you get home! this is alaska like few get to see it!!
I operate out of a remote lodge with all the comforts of home, showers, cook, internet, sat tv, HEAT, private rooms and a view that just won't quit! Snowmachines and fuel are provided for the trip.
Head out each day and run one of several lines, returning in the middle of the day to sit around the wood burning stove and sip some coffee and tell stories. head back out later in the day to run more traps, hunt for wolves, wolverine, fox, coyote and lynx!
The traplines will target marten, beaver, muskrat, fox, coyote, lynx, wolverine and wolves if we can find a kill or trails.

Each client can keep everything they catch! Try your hand on making some sets of your own and share the excitment of driving up on a set in the middle of a beautifull mtn landscape in remote alaska!
This trap line is set up FOR clients, this is not my line i run and try to get you to pay for it, this trip is designed specificly for clients. Winter trips have been successfull as you will see from the below pictures.
There is a required $1000.00 deposit on the snowmachine, if you don't break anything all will be refunded.

Price: $7000 and Includes transportation from Anchorage alaska and back, food, loding, traps, bait.
Trapping license is the only other expense, $285.

I am figuring out a way to pay for Africa in 2017 on top of $8500 hunting license applications. Are you going to do this in Jan 2017?

How rough is it? How cold is it?

I think it would be a fairly easy adventure for my father to make.

It's not a physical trip at all. It can be pretty cold though, proper gear and coming back to hot soup and a warm lodge for lunch and the evenings is really nice! I will do a 2017 trip, I have one group lined up already so if you want '17 let me know ASAP so we can get the ball rolling on it.

Added some more photos. Great adventure and out of the box from what most are used to. But more memorable than most adventure trips!

One day (when I have time) I'm going to do this. This is the type of experience that just doesn't exist anymore.

For those who have asked, i will help with gear information, temps can be above zero or down to -40, but we aren't camping in those temps! i will be happy to help line folks out with what gear works for those conditions, but these trips are survival trips into the arctic, its a fun adventure with a great chance to really add some unique trophies to the trophy room! plus, the nice warm lodge and sat tv, a cook, hot showers, internet, all that don't hurt either!

So I think this is totally cool! I will be upfront and say I can't do it this season or next, already booked on stuff.

However, I do have a question, so on this trip...anything that gets trapped, the client get to keep?

You're language of "everything they catch," I'm wondering if I'm missing anything. So I'm assuming you go out everyday with client. You and the client set traps, and come back later....are all the traps set in the line considered the clients traps?

Are you or someone else not present entitled to any of the trapped animals? Am I making sense?

Also what animal is in the 2nd to last photo with the guy in the red/black ski suit?

that animal is a wolverine.

the trapline is for the client. none of the traps set are for my personal use. any animal caught in any of the traps that we/you set are the clients unless they don't want them.

these traplines are put in place for the clients and by the clients. this is not a personal line of mine.

i'll show clients what i know and tricks i've learned adn they can make their own sets to add to the line as well or just use the sets i have in place or that i make, or that we make together.
