Fall 2012: September 9 - 16, Maine Bear Over Bait - *Opening for 1 hunter with a non-hunting guest. Private cabin included.

Fall hunt package is $2695. Includes private cabin and all meals.

We are offering this Maine black bear hunt located in down east Maine, and is surrounded by wild, blue berry barrens, and natural forest lands. The outfitter is offering high quality Maine black bear hunts over bait and leases thousands of acres of land to ensure low pressure hunting and high success rates. All baits have produced quality bears every year and they are always in pursuit of more hunting areas.

Lodging:

Guests enjoy lakeside lodging on crystal clear Bog and Fulton lakes for 7 nights. All your bed and bathroom linens are provided. Every cottage and cabin have electricity and a full bathroom with hot shower.

This fully guided hunt includes: Lodging in lake side cabins, all meals prepared, and served to you, guiding to and from active bait site, bear recovery cutting, wrapping of meat, and trophy preparation. T here will be a welcoming fresh, seafood dinner the night of arrival, including lobster, steamers and fresh blueberry pie. They will provide single and two-man metal tree stands, and their guests are welcome to bring their own stands if desired. The guests are welcome to bring their own boats, canoes, or whatever else makes them comfortable. The bass fishing is great on Bog Lake and several of the other lakes close by. All activities other than hunting are unguided.

Bear Recovery and Care:
Upon shooting your bear you can reach a guide by radio or cellular phone. They provide
tracking and recovery, game care, game transportation and registration, skinning, and quartering. They will help you arrange butchering services if desired. They own plot hounds for tracking wounded bear which significantly increases recovery percentages.

Hide and Meat Care:
To ensure proper and safe care of your harvested bear they have their own walk in cooler and freezers. This keeps your bear at the correct temperatures to prevent hair slippage of the hide prior to taxidermy and
your bear meat from spoiling.

So is this a basic do it yourself type of hunt, as the hunter must drive to the baited site with his own vehicle each day? how far from the lakeside cabin to the baits? Must they also cook their own food from what the camp owner provides or must the client supply the food too?
