BIG GAME IN ARGENTINA STAG PIX ADDED

Folks,

I've taken up a relationship with an Argentine operation for big free range stag plus water buffalo, blackbuck and Russian boar.

The ranch is huge at 162,500 acres with no game fencing and the red deer population is estimated at 5,000 animals.

The stag are not on a sliding scale and you can shoot the biggest one you see. The stags are big but don't expect to see anything like the Estate monsters you'd find in New Zealand.

Best time to be there is the red rut period March/April. The black buck, buffalo and boar will also be good at that time.

Fishing for Golden Dorado can be arranged 20 minute from the lodge and bird shooting for pigeon and doves can be arranged two hours away as an add-on.

In a week's time you could do quite a lot here.

You'd arrive Buenos Aires International and then catch a flight from the domestic airport to San Luis where you'll be met and driven to the lodge. We can arrange a meet/greet and transfer to the domestic airport after your international flight.

El Durazno lodge is very comfy with 5 double rooms and a max of 8 hunters.

Is the dove shooting like you hear about, melt your barrel ? If my math is right, you could hunt 8 days and shoot all the big game for around $11,000.

Randy,

Your math is correct. Yes! The bird shooting is very good.

Price wise Mark
You should know, we as hunters are ok with time but shipping charges are the Thorn in our eyes
As an agent you know…rather well where my question was pointed to…

It’s been a while for me…was trying to remember but it seems with the shipping and fees and all that…$1,800 sticks in my mind.
It’s expensive. These days I’ll just bring back memories and photos rather than spend well over $1,000 to get a set of horns

1) Best IMO to overnight/stay a day in Buenos Aires.most flights arrive in AM and have a nice day…great dinner and sleep. Alvear Palace is a great hotel and walking distance to a lot of stuff. Definitely worth the day.
2) however, one should arrange either private transportation with outfitter or you take a taxi.
It’s about a 30 minute transfer with traffic off memory. If you don’t arrange private transport the taxi line for me once was horrible (person didn’t show)

Folks,

We have arrangements with a company for gun clearance and all necessities in Buenos Aires. You'll be well taken care of from arrival to departure.

I would never quote someone on shipping trophies as I have no control over that.

Yes! It's not a problem you just have to have patience as it will take some time upon arrival.
