Outstanding Plains Games Hunting in Botswana

Koch Safaris- Gerhard Koch PH/Owner
Nkwe Safaris- Jaco Visser PH/Owner

Just returned from hunting and checking out this magnificent operation in Botswana. Gerhard Koch and Jaco Visser have joined together to offer some great hunting in two different areas of Botswana.

Gerhard (Koch Safaris) operates out of the Tuli Block. The hunting area here is massive, consisting of 100,000 hectares (247,000 acres). Animals are in abundance on this property. Lodging consists of main lapa area where hunters gather for meals. Bedrooms are on either side of lapa with each room having ensuite bathroom with running water and hot showers. The camp sits on an offshoot of the limpopo River. Bushbuck and Waterbuck are exceptional in this area since it borders the river. Also huge numbers of black wildebeest and Impala. Saw Impala by the hundreds while on farm. Arrival and departure from Gaborone Botswana

Jaco (Nkwe Safaris) operates out of Ghanzi. Camp here consists of safari tent accommodations with ensuite bathrooms. Camp sits on 30,000 hectares with another 30,000 hectares just next door. This is Kalahari area, so there is awesome Gemsbok and Springbok. What is truly special here is the Kudu. The genetics for Kudu in this area is second to none. Jaco averages roughly 55-56 inches on kudu every year. This year included a 60 and a 63. While looking on this trip we saw 16 bulls in one day and I passed on 56 inch bull. Arrival and departure from Maun Botswana

Those are great packages.

Could you share the preferred taxidermist or dip/pack facility for each of the two hunting areas? I want to hunt in Botswana but I have been reluctant due to anecdotal reports of expensive dip/pack.

Accipiter1. Dip and pack is done by South African company. He picks it up from Tuli area. My preferred taxidermist is Artistic Vision Wildlife from Pennsylvania.

Thanks

What about dip and pack from Ghanzi area. Is it Debbie Peake with Machaba?
