Location: Coral Harbor / Hudson Bay

Outfitter: Brent Chapman / Inuit Community

Dates: Aug. 1 - Oct. 31, 2016 (Any 10 day period)

Hunt: 10 - Day hunt / Polar Bear - Walrus

Price: Polar Bear/Walrus $58,500.00 Polar Bear Only $50,000.00

Friends - This is actually my personal hunt, one I had scheduled for Aug. 2015. Trust me, I would not schedule a hunt for myself that I was not 100% confident in. I simply have too many things going on, and I have already taken a great Polar Bear 10 years ago, so I am trying to help replace the hunt - with a new hunter.

I booked this particular hunt for several very good reasons. First, the area has excellent bear populations - as well as Walrus. Getting a great bear is a virtual certainty! Walrus, the same - you will get one and the adventure is pretty cool too.

Second - The weather is a real pleasure in Aug/Sept, hunters stay in heated cabins, and hunting is done on the shores of Hudson Bay - via boat/4-wheeler. Its not 10 days of hell on the pack ice - in 30 below temperatures.

My intention was to hunt the bear with a bow, but weapon choice is up to the hunter!!!!

NOTE - Polar Bear / Walrus are NOT importable into the USA.

So there's two options if you are considering this hunt. Most non-US citizens can import Polar Bear into their countries, or if you are a USA citizen - either you want/need to hunt a polar bear/walrus for the species/adventure - or you can leave it with friends anywhere in Canada, etc.

Folks, I can tell you this. I have hunted many places around the world - I have always said my previous Polar Bear Hunt was the single greatest adventure I have ever experienced! I do not regret one single bit that I have never seen my Polar Bear in my house - the hunt/adventure was something that I will remember forever!!!!

If you are interested, you can contact me via email at globalhunts@aol.com or 303-619-2872 (cell number) I am at SCI, so please bear with me - I will return your contact asap. I will be back in my office on Monday - Feb. 9th.

Thank you,

I simply must be curious - what caliber gun would one use on such a hunt?

A walrus is a true behemoth.... And having seen a live polar bear in a zoo made my pants shake!

Anything from a .300 Win on up is fine. You shoot the Walrus in the brain.

With the new regs in EU it looks like it will be off limit to import it here also.

Are the new rules really translating into an import stop?

Anton - I don't think so yet?

Frankly though, I'm not totally sure why that is the only deciding factor for most hunters? I've not hunted everything, but I've been around a bit - and NO hunt I've been on yet has compared to the adventure/experience of a Polar Bear hunt. Not even close!!! Do I have my 9' 5" Polar Bear in my home, nope! Do I regret it, NOPE!! I'll never forget the experience/adventure that was my few days in the land of Nanook.

Guys go hunt elephants all the time nowadays, knowing getting it back home is not likely. Comparing an elephant hunt to the adventure of seeing / hunting a polar bear in the north is like comparing flag football to tackle football, it just ain't the same. Smiler My opinion of course, nothing more.

Hell of an offer Aaron! Being a bear hunting addict this is is killing me...
What size bears are they targeting? Are 9'+ fairly common in the area?
I looked into doing a Polar hunt about 10 years ago and it just wasn't in the cards at that time. Cant imagine the adventure it would be.

Sir, a 9'+ is definitely the target - and will happen as long as the hunter doesn't insist on shooting the first bear that moves.

I am definitely in the category that a Polar Bear hunt is easily the most memorable hunting experience.
I always recommend 2 hunts, first the polar bear hunt and second a rainforest hunt. That allows you to experience an environment where life is at its thinnest and one where life is at its thickest. Every other hunt occurs in between these 2.
It is a rare day that I do not spend a moment looking at my polar bear, so I have no comment about the import issue.

Banning imports will NEVER save one single bear and in fact will cause more female polar bears to be killed. If you don't know the absolute truth of the above statement, then you simply do not know how tags are allocated to Inuit communities, and you don't know how they hunt.
