(only 1 spot available)

Hunt Price: $25,500 (1x1 guided) All-Inclusive from King Salmon, AK.

HUGE MOOSE - WESTERN ALASKA!

Wade Renfro

This guided moose hunt take place in Western Alaska in the Kuskokwim Mountains, Kilbuck Mountains, or the Wood Tikchik drainage systems. Very remote fly-in camps, into the heart of big moose country.

This particular area / outfitter produces some of the biggest moose in all of Alaksa every year.....this is a true trophy moose hunt! We shot 4 bulls that qualified for B&C in the fall of 2017.

The moose hunting is spot and stalk, as well as calling.

Also a great chance here for an exceptionally big grizzly! The outfitter currently holds the all-time #1 B&C Grizzly. I personally shot an 8' black bear here too!

We are fully booked in 2018!

Guided Moose:
The fully guided 1x1 moose hunts are $25,000 ea.

The following animals can be added for a trophy fee upon successful harvest:
Brown/Grizzly....$4,500
Black Bear.........$1,800
Wolf...................No Charge
Wolverine..........No Charge

License / tags not included

2019 Guided Moose: August 31 - September 10, September 10 - 21, September 21 - October 1

2020 Guided Moose: August 31 - September 10, September 10 - 21, September 21 - October 1

S.E. ALASKA BROWN BEAR

Scott McLeod

The ABC Islands of Alaska have the highest brown bear density in all of Alaska! Thus bear sightings and success are generally high. Most bears are 8' - 9', with the chance for something bigger! This is generally an easy hunt physically, so if you are looking for a brown bear but can't hike and carry a pack all day - this is an exceptionally good hunt.

Hunting is done from the luxurious 60 ft boat, the "Profit", very comfortable accommodations. Only 2 hunters per hunt date, the outfitter / boat owner and his son guide all of the hunts personally, and everyone eats like a king!

I've personally hunted the ABC Islands for Brown bears, its a pretty darn good hunt!

2018 Hunt Dates:
April 30 -May 9 / 1 spot
Sept 15 - 24 / 2 spots (Great bow hunt too)
$18,500.00 per hunter

2019 Hunt Dates:
April 30 - May 9 / 1 spot
$19,500.00 per hunter

License / tag: $1,170

Aaron: Those are some great animals pictured there but was there not some issue with a celebrity huntress not too long ago where he went to court and lost his hunting license?

Ya, she shot 2 bears - thinking she was shooting the same one twice. It was a boar and a sow, she fired on the boar, they started jumping around and she fired again - shooting the sow too. Its a 2 bear area - but she only had 1 tag!!! NO....he did not lose his guide's license over it. In fact, he was not the guide on the hunt - rather the outfitter. He's a good dude, I've hunted with him personally, and would do so again!

Well you would know better than me...But way I recall it Renfro was involved in the cover-up in some way such as to have her buy a second tag after the kill and took a hit for his part along with the Tv huntress whom lost her show along with the fines.
What was her name anyway she was the woman who is a military vet who also bared her tattoos in the Miss America pagent goes from Brown haired to red head to blonde every other month.

Terry:,Her name is Theresa Vail and she’s a SSG in the National Guard. She made an honest mistake in shooting the second bear, and got bad advice about getting a second tag after tge fact. She admitted her error and moved on with her life. She’s a class act in my book- oh and her Dad is a dentist lije you.

Bud: Got all your venison steaks eaten up yet?
I have no axe to grind here with Ms Vail or Renfro as a matter of fact I personally hunted browns with him finding him a stand up guy even though I had no shot at a bear. My interest is only if he had his outfitting license back or if it had been taken away at all.
As far as Vail's mistaken kill I understand but she took his advise to try the cover up rather than, choosing the legit path.
To both I say, " Good hunting" oh yes and floss regularly. Doc

His license was suspended for two spring seasons. That sentence is past he is now just on probation.

NO...she didn't take his advice, she begged and pleaded with him to get another tag - cause she had already done the exact same thing on a previous elk hunt and she was shit scared she was going to lose her tv show, sponsors, etc. Wade let her talk him into it.....and that's where he made his mistake. He was trying to help her out and didn't use his head! I was there hunting with him at the same exact time in another location / with another guide. If you're going to comment, you should be accurate about it!!!

I don't understand why people constantly have to try and dredge up other's mis-fortunes in life....why??? What does that have to do with this....nothing??? She screwed up, he tried to help, it was a bad choice, it was 2.5 yrs ago and he was reprimanded for it. He was not allowed to guide for 2 springs, it did not effect his fall licensing, and he's not effected by it now. Move on already!

Amen!

This thread is turning into another one of those perfect examples of why there should be no responses allowed in the Hunts Offered section.

Aaron like I posted earlier I have no axe to grind, I was merely asking if he had his license back yet. Apparently he does now but remains on probation, a bit of information a prospective client may like to know.. prior to investing several thousand dollars in advance of the actual trip dates.
I also mentioned I hunted at Renfro's and found him a stand-up guy .
