Hunting season:
September and October-December.
Hunting territory:
Russia, Smolensk region. The territory totals 27 thousand hectares. The region is situated within only 180 km (112 miles) from Moscow and can be easily reached by car.
Hunting:
Spot-and-stalk hunt during the rut time (september) and driven hunt in the late season (october-december).
Accommodation:
The hunting house.
Route:
Day 1: Arrival in Moscow. Customs formalities. Car transfer to Smolensk region (about 3-4 hours).
Day 2-6: 5 day hunt
Day 7: Car transfer back to Moscow, overnight at the hotel or flight back home.
Costs:
2.500 euro - 7 day trip, 5 day hunt, 1x1, including 1 Moose trophy of any size.
Costs include: visa support documents; meet & greet at the airport of Moscow, accompanying of Stalker Group representative or interpreter; gun import permit, vet certificates; transportation to/from the hunting region and in the area itself; accommodation in standard room and meals in the camp; PH; all serving staff including interpreter per every group or camp; trophy field care.
Extra costs: airline ticket to/from Moscow; hotel and meals in Moscow before and after the hunt; accommodation in the luxury room in the hunting camp; visa; alcohol, personal expenses; dip & pack; trophy shipment; tips.

What size moose is expected???

I posted a picture of the moose taken in this area to give you some idea about trophy size of european moose. The weight of the bull is 300-400 kg/660-880 pounds and average antlers weight is 8 kg/17 pounds.

Thank you for interest in hunting in Russia.
Regular processing of obtaining Russia Visa is up to 20 business days and Rush processing is up to 3 business days. For more detailed information you need to contact the Embassy of Russian Federation in Canada.
Please note that obtaining of the gun import permit takes app. 3 weeks, or you can use a rent rifle.
The cost of non-hunter is 800 euro (7 day trip).

Due the high density of the moose population in offered area the success rate is also very high. Only bad weather conditions can make the hunt more difficult. So 99% is common success rate. During the moose hunt you will have a good opportunity to shoot wild boar. The price for wild boar trophy depends from the length of the tusks (from 635 euro to 1265 euro). In case shot non-trophy animal the price will be calculated according to weight of wild boar (from 225 euro to 695 euro)
