Some of my clients are back from the Eastern Cape, some have yet to arrive and some are still in Southern Africa finishing up. Some good trophies have been taken already. Some of you know Mark. He's a good friend and hunting partner of mine. He and Leo took some really nice trophies on this trip while enjoying the greatly reduced daily rates and trophy fees we're offering. Hopefully I'll get some of Leo's pics when he returns from guiding in Australia.


Mark had been hunting for a good Steenbok for many years, just missing getting a shot numerous times; not finding a mature ram or Murphy's law. He scored big on this ram and has one hell of a story to tell about it. Ask him next DSC convention!


Having taken a good common Reedbuck, he's been looking for a good Mountain Reedbuck. I told him we have some great ones in the hills and he proved us correct by taking this outstanding ram. Congrats Mark!


A good hunt down on the coast and he had his Caracal!


Mark saw many bushbucks on our ranch and one he said would go 17-18 inches, but finally got a good Cape ram just at dusk. He reported it was hard hunting and the game was very wary! I always told him these animals were born and raised here, no Fly's on any of them and it's hunting, not shooting fish in a barrel.


Having taken Kudu before, he couldn't refuse not taking one with a great spread.


Blesbok wasn't on his mind until he saw how many huge rams were on the ranch. After blowing many stalks and set ups, a blind was used. Finally this big boy stepped out from his harem and Mark connected. Congrats on this outstanding ram!


It's always great when targets of opportunity arise and this colorful Jackal was no exception. He took this one at nearly 300 yards.

Mark used his Browning A-bolt in 7mm Mag for everything except the Caracal. They hunted with us last month.

Mark has to be picky or build a new room. He doesn't have much of that left...room that is.

That Stienbok is the Bomb. He's huge.

True, and the Mt Reedbuck is approaching 8" and the Blesbok is over 17 inches
