We have leased a new ranch (The Bar 6) this year that adjoins our Block Ranch Hunting lease. There has been no mule deer hunting on this ranch for the last 4 years. We know this place is going to have some nice bucks. We recently applied for and are receiving special deer incentive tags for this ranch for the habitat improvements made by the owner. No doubt we are excited to get this place. No more than 4 deer will be taken on this ranch. Our intentions are to take bucks 150+ and hoping to hit the 175+ range given the range conditions this year.

This will be a fully outfitted hunt (guiding, meals, lodging, field trophy and meat care) and we can take folks any 5 days from November 24 through December 9. This is an excellent pre-rut and rut time in this area of SE New Mexico.

There are 13,500 deeded acres on the Bar 6. The ranch is 20 miles NW of Capitan, NM. The terrain is pinion juniper and there are no steep hill climbs on this hunt. This is a spot and stalk type hunt. The weather is unpredictable at this time of year. It may be freezing in the AM with moderate mid day temps or we may be hunting in snow.

The cost of the 5 day 2x1 hunt $4,500 + tax and state license.

The following pictures were deer taken across the fence which we also lease. Having not been hunted for 4 years is going to be a big plus.
