Trade pig access in CA for Africa Hunt.

I am looking for a place to hunt wild boar near the San Francisco Bay Area. I will trade it for an African hunt. Details to be worked out to the satisfaction of both parties. You can hunt first if that is an issue to you.
I see two scenarios; one where you are a guide with access to pig habitat. Here is what I would propose:
I will bring my 2 friends to your place to hunt. They pay full fees for your normal services. I would come along simply as an observer. This would give you a no-risk chance to meet me and we could talk things over. If things do not work out you will have been paid for 2 pig hunts and we separate.
If you have private access to land and do not want the hunters to come I would be glad to show up alone to meet you and look at the property. We could take it from there if it looked like it was going to be a win/win situation.
I am the owner of Bombazi Wilderness in South Africa. http://www.bombaziwilderness.com If hunting Africa is of interested to you I would host you in South Africa or Cameroun to hunt on my place at my expense. In return I am looking for a place to hunt pigs myself. I am sure we could work out a win/win scenario. I am not looking for a place to guide anyone, just a place to hunt myself with an occasional friend or one of my sons.
I am also a licensed PH in Cameroun. (I believe the only US licensed guide in the country.) I have over 100.000 acres of private hunting reserves and over 200,000 acres of government concessions that I hunt. I hunt everything from elephant through the diminutive duikers. My buffalo hunts are very successful, and you can look at some of the pictures on the web site above. One hunt was just recently posted on AR under Africa Hunting reports. I would bring some information when I come or can e-mail you if you give me an address. Typically these are self guided hunts, but I am over there two or three times a year and maybe we could work out something for the right kind of access here in California. Your costs could be as low as zero if you have the right property and populations of pigs. The idea would be to have an equal exchange of values.
I think this can be adjusted so that it is a positive experience for both parties.
If this sounds interesting please get a hold of me at 650-855-5871 work or PM me. My e-mail is cam.greig@yahoo.com.

I might be interested in other exchanges, but the pig access in California is my simple goal right now.

MopaeMike,
This is what I am looking for. If we need to pay some bucks for a longer term deal and can have a lease situation that is also a possibilty. I am very flexible as long as it is for a good piece of property.

Please PM me with exactly what your need's are and how much flexibility you have.. We're in the embryonic(sp?) stage already with the owner regarding our own hunting lease, (never hunted before) trying to see what we can do for you by adding on or simply a guest.. We both have wanted to do SA for sometime.

Legistine actu? Quid scripsi?

Never under estimate the internet community's ability to reply to your post with their personal rant about their tangentially related, single occurrence issue.

What I have learned on AR, since 2001:
1. The proper answer to: Where is the best place in town to get a steak dinner? is…You should go to Mel's Diner and get the fried chicken.
2. Big game animals can tell the difference between .015 of an inch in diameter, 15 grains of bullet weight, and 150 fps.
3. There is a difference in the performance of two identical projectiles launched at the same velocity if they came from different cartridges.
4. While a double rifle is the perfect DGR, every 375HH bolt gun needs to be modified to carry at least 5 down.
5. While a floor plate and detachable box magazine both use a mechanical latch, only the floor plate latch is reliable. Disregard the fact that every modern military rifle uses a detachable box magazine.
6. The Remington 700 is unreliable regardless of the fact it is the basis of the USMC M40 sniper rifle for 40+ years with no changes to the receiver or extractor and is the choice of more military and law enforcement sniper units than any other rifle.
7. PF actions are not suitable for a DGR and it is irrelevant that the M1, M14, M16, & AK47 which were designed for hunting men that can shoot back are all PF actions.
8. 95 deg F in Africa is different than 95 deg F in TX or CA and that is why you must worry about ammunition temperature in Africa (even though most safaris take place in winter) but not in TX or in CA.
9. The size of a ding in a gun's finish doesn't matter, what matters is whether it’s a safe ding or not.
10. 1 in a row is a trend, 2 in a row is statistically significant, and 3 in a row is an irrefutable fact.
11. Never buy a WSM or RCM cartridge for a safari rifle or your go to rifle in the USA because if they lose your ammo you can't find replacement ammo but don't worry 280 Rem, 338-06, 35 Whelen, and all Weatherby cartridges abound in Africa and back country stores.
12. A well hit animal can run 75 yds. in the open and suddenly drop with no initial blood trail, but the one I shot from 200 yds. away that ran 10 yds. and disappeared into a thicket and was not found was lost because the bullet penciled thru. I am 100% certain of this even though I have no physical evidence.
13. A 300 Win Mag is a 500 yard elk cartridge but a 308 Win is not a 300 yard elk cartridge even though the same bullet is travelling at the same velocity at those respective distances.

Now Mike, how can anyone in Danville lay claim to San Frankcisco?
You are correct, most Bayites don't like Frisco although most of the rest of the world recognizes such.
If you are going to use the term "The City" at least use the complete and correct name. It is "The City of Love".
At least that is what we all called it in 67 and 68 when I lived there. I really lived on the number 16 and 19 buses most of the time running back and forth from the Square to the free concerts at the park. Or more correctly,
Golden Gate Park.

Well, to tell the truth.. I have another name for that fine city, but it might be frowned upon in an open forum.. So I could really care less if the locals are offended by my shortening the name.. Wink

I drove through San Francisco a few days ago. It just happened to be the day of The San Francisco Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual And
Transgender (LGBT) Parade. It was a dramatic contrast to the city I'd remembered from my last visit thirty-six years ago. The citizens were out in all their splendor. Too much of a carnival for my liking.

If I was going to California to hunt pigs I would look for a good spot further south.

I actually live about 30 minutes south of San Francisco. I would not want to have to travel more than 3-4 hours, but am open to other spots if they are good.
I could go as far as Healdsburg to the north and as far as San Miguel to the south. A good spot is more of the critical criteria rather than how far away,.
