This may be the best buffalo hunting in Zimbabwe and definitely the best I offer. The area is Matetsi Unit 1 only a short 45 minute ride from Victoria Falls. Unit 1 is very open so you'll see many buffalo plus lots of other game just riding around. Often killing a buffalo is a process of spotting them, picking out a good bull and planning a stalk. Because it is so open you can be very selective on what buffalo you pursue. Additional to the buffalo you may see many elephant. Gary Hopkins said on his recent hunt in Unit 1 they saw over a 1,000 elephant and hundreds of buffalo. Lions are very common there so you may see them also as well as good plains game.

There are two reports on Unit 1 from this last season on AR. "Hunting Matetsi Unit 1 Zimbabwe" that was conducted by Gary Hopkins/Klipkraal Travel and Safari who I'm work with on Unit 1. Additional to the great hunting the camp is very comfortable with private chalets, en suite baths, swimming pool and all the comforts. Since the camp is so close to Victoria Falls it is a perfect destination for a family safari as day trips can be easily arranged to the Falls.

I think this is really a great deal as the price is more than competitive, there is no road transfer fee as your so close to Vic Falls and the hunt is 12 days as opposed to the normal 10.
