Folks,

I've recently established a relationship with the Western Hunt Company. I will be placing ads for several different hunt options with them. The below is the straight up 3 day cow elk hunt.

Perfect opportunity for a 2-3 hunters to share a Western hunting experience and take home a freezer full of excellent meat.

The Cow Elk hunt is offered on 150,000+ acres comprised of several private ranches combined along the Musselshell River area North of Billings, MT.

Accommodations are in a ranch house with real beds, hot showers, home cooked meals plus TV and WiFi. You'll be very comfortable.

If you are flying, there are two options, hunters can get their own rental and drive to camp, or WHC can arrange to have them picked up in Billings, MT for $300/roundtrip. Billings is easily reached from just about anywhere in the States.

Cow elk only 2x1 or 3x1 3 days $2,950 per hunter
Up to 4 to 6 Guys in camp at once.

2022/2023 Open Dates:
December 5-7, 13-15, and 16-18
January 3-5, 7-9, 23-25, 27-29
January 31 - February 2
February 4-6 & 8-10

Over the Counter Cow Elk Tag, $320.

Call me.

hikerbum,

I had a deer and elk processed in Forsyth which is between Musselshell and Billings. Extremely easy to deal with and accommodating. I should receive my meat in a few days and will post my costs.

You can take your meat as extra baggage if flying.

I drive to hunt and in the back of my PU..I have a 5 or 7 cu ft freezer I paid $140. new, and a long extension card. pack in quarters or have it package for the trip home.deer or elk.. plug in at nite in motel room if needed but frozen is good for 5 to 7 days without electricity once frozen..It really works..Flying with an elk would break Ft. Knox..

Folks,

Rec'd 190# of burger, roasts and steaks from my whitetail and cow elk yesterday. About a three week turnaround. Total cost delivered to my door vacuum packed was about $900 all-in.

I'm very satisfied how this all went with Forsyth Meat in Montana. Easy-Peasy!

That’s less than $5.00/#. That’s not bad at all. Enjoy it all winter.
