The offer is for plains game in Botswana. Hunting can be done by either bow or rifle. Kanana is over 100,000 Acres of privately owned game farm situated in pristine Kalahari Bushveld roughly 250km SW of Maun, Botswana. The property holds an over abundance of game. The land has been largely Eco-tourism for the last several years and it is now going back to hunting.

I, along with a number of people on this site have hunted with the outfitter. It is a fantastic property with an enormous amount of plains game. Please feel free to contact me with any questions.

All accommodation is full board in Motswiri Lodge - the luxury tented safari camp situated in the heart of Kanana Wilderness.

The packages are:

PACKAGE 1

9 nights of Accommodation so 8 full hunting days

1 Eland

I've had a few PM's and emails. There are several prime dates still available but I would get them before the shows.

Andrew, it would appear so. Not knowing anything about the operation or the trophy quality but knowing a little bit about nearby operations, I'd say this could work out to be one hell of a deal.

Gentlemen,

The offers above include everything (trophy fees and daily rates). It is the best offer going in my opinion.

I took package 1 in August, hunting with a rifle. This is a very good deal with a very well organized outfit. Tented camp accommodations are great. Hunting opportunties and trophy quality are very, very good.

Please feel free to PM me for details or with any questions you may have about this operation.

Regards to all...........TWL ( Tom Lorenzen )

Does the hunting take place over the entire 100,000 acres, or are you restricted to some subset of it, and if so, how many acres is that?

The hunting takes place over the whole area. 32 miles long by 16 wide. Approximately 168 square miles of real estate. No internal fences. You can drive over 500 miles of interior roads. No conditions or restrictions on hunting area.

Parts of the property are thick, "south texas" like, other are wooded, some even have small openings. It's a damn big place.

hell, $6495 wouldn't even cover the government ad-ons for this hunt in Tz., much less the daily clap rate. might cover the charter, though....

Kanana is absolutely amazing and the real deal. Jason and Claire are as good as it gets. You can read my entire report titled Kanana 2012 in the report section but needless to say, in September 2012, four of us went and 75 animals and 11 days later we came home. It was absolutely amazing and I cannot wait to go back. I would gladly answer any questions that anyone has. I have nothing to gain, I am just a hunter that had a phenomenal trip. This is the real deal in every way.

I have the same question. Your website shows different trophy fees for Kudu and Eland depending upon the size. Still a great price for the package.

Yes, the packages include any size animal. The sizing referred to on the pricelist is only applicable to hunters hunting off of the pricelist on a daily rate hunt. In other words, you can hunt the package and shoot any trophy animal you wish, regardless of size with no difference in price.

I hear that this area has Malaria. Does it? Do we have to take anti-malaria pills? I just hate taking pills as they make me a little slow and sick for a while.

Further, are the animals exportable to USA? I heard that some species might not be.

Thanks again.

I have visited the area and did not encounter mosquitoes and I don't have malaria. That being said, it is up to each person if you want to take medication or not. It is a low level risk at best.

Yes, the plains game animals are fully exportable to the USA. No problems with that at all. We utilize Mochaba taxidermy to dip and pack for us. Keep the questions rolling. Thanks, Tom

The Botswana ban does not effect private properties like Kanana.

Myself and my three buddies took the malaria meds as a precaution.

The posters above answered the question the way I intended to answer. As of right now, it does not appear that the closure will affect private properties.

I personally did not see any Cheetahs but my buddy saw 9 in one day. Unreal.

We did catch three leopards together on on trail camera but that was it.

Postoak, you will not regret it!!! The only regret will be that you did not go sooner. So so amazing.

Jason assured me when I was there in September that the private properties were not being effected.

I just added a bunch of live photo pictures to my hunt report if you want to see what is still left on the hoof. I will post more later as well.

Thanks to David for some great pics.
