2018 SA - Elephant hunts!

HUNT INFO:
Atherstone Nature Reserve (ANR) is located in the Limpopo province close to Thabazimbi. Its basically right up on the North Western part of Limpopo almost on the Botswana Boarder. ANR is owned 70 % by government and 30 % by private owners. We have exclusive access to ANR as it has been closed to the public for the last 7 - 10 years due to the Rhino Poaching. ANR comprised of 56,000 acres of prime bushveld terrain. It is truly a magnificent reserve. ANR has 4 of the big five including Black and White Rhino. The trophy quality is exceptional and is as close as you are going to get to the real thing for SA.

For the last two years we have with the partnership of the reserve been trying to reduce the elephant numbers in the reserve. Our last game count in October 2017 revealed 124 elephant. Now as you can imagine that is way to many for the land that they occupy. The plan that has been put forward to reduce 80 elephant either by culling, or game capture. The excess bulls will be hunted. As to date not one elephant has been removed by the Nature conservation as no one wants elephants. After numerous discussions and meetings with Nature conservation - biodiversity and the private sector they have issued 5 permits for 2018. This includes 3 non exportable bulls ages between 12 - 25 years and 2 Cites permits, ages between 25 - 35 years. The game count revealed 9 bulls between 20 and 35 years old. A total of 17 bulls were positively identified. I think this is a great opportunity to hunt Elephant on a private ranch in SA....elephants that have never been hunted.

Unfortunately we have not been given much time to market these bulls. The hunting permits are good only between July and end of September, 2018.

Bulls 12 - 20 yrs old / 7 day hunt / $11,500 each. (2 permits available - expect 15 - 25lb bulls)

Hunt #2:
Bulls 25 - 35 yrs old / 12 day hunt / $19,500 each. (3 permits available)

This hunt price is all-inclusive / including RT vehicle transfer from Joberg. (3 permits available - EXPORTABLE CITES PERMIT INCLUDED / expect 30 - 40lb bulls)
