I've often heard here on AR that folks would like to see hunts offered where the operator had more to loose if the hunt is not successful. Well here is a NA hunt that offers just that. The hunt in total is fairly inexpensive but by offering it with a base price and a trophy fee it becomes less painful if you are unsuccessful and more painful for the outfitter.

The hunt is offered on Idaho's Unit 1 in the Panhandle near Priest Lake and the tiny town of Nordman. I've hunted successfully with Bruce Duncan/Selkirk Guiding and Outfitting for whitetail and cougar in this area. No NA guide will put out anymore effort than Bruce and his team. Accommodations and equipment are first class and Bruce has been hunting the same woods for 27 years. He knows his stuff.

The Priest Lake area has excellent elk numbers and everybody should expect a real shooting opportunity on a 300-320 class bull with bigger definitely possible. At this time there are a couple of archery spots open right in the rut mid Sept and a couple rifle hunts starting Oct 10 at the end of the bugle season. A maximum of 4 shooters will be in camp at any one time.

This is a hunt conducted spot and stalk on foot with no horses necessary. The lodge itself sits right in the middle of good elk country so you don't need to horseback in or spike out. You can come back to the lodge for a hot shower and a home cooked meal each night.

All Lic/tags are OTC and if you buy an elk tag it can be used for any other animal that is in season at that time. So if you have an elk tag in your pocket and you see a great black bear or wolf you can shoot it and just buy another elk tag that same day. No need to have a pocket full of expensive tags.

The hunt is all inclusive from pick up at the Spokane, WA airport until drop off at hunt's end. Your lic/tag, taxidermy and meat processing are the only additional expenses.

Pricing:

1x1 6 full hunting days $3,750 for 2016, $4,250 for 2017
Elk trophy fee $1,500
Lic and elk tag 571.50

Hell of a deal Mark
Great country up there, good bulls and some huge whiteys
