Chris Troskie Safaris - in conjunction with Leverguns - An American Heritage (www.leverguns.com) hosted a "Levergun Hunt" - dedicated to lever action rifle fanatics for the first time in 2005. On that first hunt, 5 lever action enthusiasts joined us on safari and it was decided to make this an annual event. Over the years, this event has grown from strength - to - strength, so much so that one year we had no less than 13 clients in camp! The hunt is not only open to lever action rifle shooters and all hunters (bow / rifle / handgun) and their companions are welcome.

Dates for next year's Levergun Hunt has been set for Sunday May 27th thru Monday June 4th, 2012 and we want to invite AR members to our 7th Annual Levergun Hunt. We want to get a full camp and therefore have priced the daily rates for next year's hunt according to the number of clients who book i.e. the more folks that book the hunt - the lower the daily rate.

2X1 Hunting Daily Rates are as follows:

5 and more Clients (max 8) - $325p/d
3 - 4 Clients - $350p/d
2 Clients - $375p/d

The above rates include all transportation, accommodations, meals, beverages, services of PH's, Trackers, Skinners etc. but exclude Value Added Tax of 14%.

A minimum of 3 Plains Game species must be booked per hunting client.

At this point 5 clients have signed up for the hunt - pending payment of deposits - which means the total cost in Daily Rates per hunting client will be as follows:

Arrival Day - $150
7 Hunting Days - $2,275
VAT - $339.50
Total - $2,764.50

This is a good deal considering that the regular Daily Rates for a hunt of this nature would be $350p/p/d. We'll waive the tax for the first AR member who signs up, signs his/her contract and pay his/her deposit which equates to an additional 14% discount on Daily Rates.

Furthermore; should anyone want to add Cape Buffalo to their Plains Game Bag, clients may do so without paying Dangerous Game Daily Rates ($550p/d). In other words; clients may hunt Cape Buffalo at already reduced plains game rates.

The hunt will either be conducted on private ranches (average 10,000 acres in size) in the Lephalale district of the Limpopo Province or next to Kruger National Park in the Hoedspruit region of Limpopo Province - depending on the species on our clients' wish list and whether Cape Buffalo is included.
