BC Moose Super Deal for Two
I have been informed by our British Columbia outfitter that I can offer two hunters a 10 Day, 2x1 guided moose hunt for $4000 each! The outfitter will personally be doing the guiding on this hunt. It is a vehicle accessible hunt and does not require the float plane trip like most of his hunts. It is also not as physically demanding as the remote camp hunts as there is less walking and more glassing. He has done this late season hunt the past two seasons with 100% success rate. Unlike his remote camp, the hunters may run into other hunters and the moose may not average 50+ inches.

Base camp is a wall tent set-up.

Here is a chance to hunt Western Canadian moose for a price less than many Eastern Canadian moose hunts. This is a lot of moose and hunt for $4000. Hunt dates are Oct-12-22, 2009.

This is an awesome deal from a top-notch outfitter. Please call or email with questions or to book. 50% deposit required to reserve these spots.

Lots of interest but no one has pulled the trigger on these two spots. There has got to be two hunters looking for a sweet deal on Western Canadian moose.

Thought I'd give an update to this post I made earlier this year. We ended up booking a single hunter on this hunt. He killed the 4th bull he saw on Day 3 of a 10 day hunt. Below is a photo of his bull.

Near Spatsizi Park.

The two spots for 2010 are still open - we can hook you up if you want to go.

Thanks,

Larry

Patricio:

Thanks for your interest. Just so we are clear - my recent post with the photo was a follow up from my February 23 post offering this hunt at a discount.

There were numerous inquiries on this forum so I thought I'd share the photo of the successful hunter and his moose.

The 2010 price is $5500 per hunter which is the regular price for this hunt. If I were a betting man, I would bet that we will not have to drop the price for next year's hunt. This limited hunt has a track record of 100% success for the 3 years it has been held and at $5500 is a real bargain for western Canadian moose.

If you are still interested, let me know and hopefully someone else will commit to being the second hunter.

Thanks,

Larry

That is a deal, but there is also something to be said for a fly in type hunt. I hunted 2 1/2 hours north (by plane) of Smithers in 2006 and shot a very nice moose - 60 inches. Not as good as that guy's but I was happy.

No doubt a fly-in hunt makes for an adventure in itself. All of this outfitter's hunts are fly-ins except for this moose hunt. His fly-in moose hunters went 8 for 10 in 2009. Here is the link with more info: http://www.premierhuntingadven....com/category/moose/ Scroll down to Hunt #17-MO.

The beauty of this vehicle accessed hunt is the price, the success rate and the fact that a hunter does not have to be in top shape because much of the country is accessed via quads.

Larry, was that a "shot" at the obviously portly physiques of our AR brotherhood!!! Just kidding...I've hunted up your way with Dennis Smith of Bear Paw....great country and reasonable prices up there....take a step or 2 from there into Alaska and add $10K !

Haha. No not taking shot at the AR brotherhood. I just wanted to convey that this is an easy moose hunt physically compared to some of the others.

Your Alaska comments are right on!

Larry, How are bookings for 2010?

Biebs:

November is a weird month for bookings. Everyone is hunting either at home or away, so other than repeats going back to the same outfitter, it is slow for next year bookings.

We did see a nice flurry of bookings on last minute deals on October/November '09 hunts. I expect 2010 to be a better year than 2009.

OK, so are you ready to book that moose hunt? Wink
