My name is Jim Welles. I own and operate JFW Ranch Consulting, LLC, with my wife Kelly at 10600 Eagle Rock Ave, Albuquerque, NM 87122. My phone number is 505.294.7861. Our e-mail address is JFWRC@comcast.net. I have been a registered outfitter in NM for 18+ years.

LOBO RANCH FREE RANGE COW ELK HUNT.

We have one remaining fully outfitted cow elk hunt available for the LOBO RANCH. This hunt will take place in December. It is a two (2) day hunt with meals, lodging, and guiding provided. The dates available are December 14-15 or any 2 days after Christmas to the end of the of the year. The cost is $1,250 + Tax.

The Lobo is 45,000 deeded acres located 1 hour west of Albuquerque in GMU 9. This is a fun hunt. Youngsters welcome!

505-294-7861 Ask for Jim or Kelly. Pics of the ranch and lodging are available. References are available.

The cost of a non-resident cow elk license is on top of the cost of the hunt. The landowner tag is provided but the license is roughly $425.

Thanks AR

Darn, have a hunt booked in South Texas that weekend or I would take you up on a fun no-pressure hunt in beautiful country. And a chance to shoot something with my new Whelen...

Jim,
I shot a pm to Ian regarding his hunts in England with a few dates in November. If that doesn't work for him I will pm you to see if we can work something out. Thanks!

I assume this is a 4x4 transportation and final stock on foot?

Is this hunt still available?

I'm not in great physical condition. My knees are shot and I have limited use of my left arm as a result of a shoulder injury. I have to shoot off of rest sticks - can't take fast, offhand shots. Do you think someone in my condition can physically handle this hunt? I have a NM mobility impaired certificate.

Hunted with these guys last year on a bull hunt on this ranch and I believe you can handle it. The guide carried shooting sticks and they helped and the guides are good folks.

You probably would be fine. We have had MI hunters do this one, but the hunt has been sold.
Keep us in mind for next year.
Thank you.

Bigasanelk-The unit this ranch is located in offers a mature bull MI hunt early October. It is with a muzzle gun but the rut activity is awesome. As Kelly (the boss) mentioned above....keep us in mind for 2014.

Gary-Thank you for the kind words.....hope you are doing well.

Thank you AR-

Jim
