Weapon: Muzzleloader - landowner tag hunt. One spot open

Cost: $10,500 (includes hunt cost and landowner tag)

This hunt takes place in Unit 61 of S.W. Colorado. For those of you who don't know, Unit 61 is one of the top trophy areas in the state. This hunt for example, would take 21-22 preference points to draw. This hunt is for 300+ class Elk during the peak of the rut. If one is patient and able to pass on multiple bulls, one should expect to take a bull in the 320-330 range. Bulls at/around 350 have been taken, but only a few over the last couple of years. The tag is a unit wide tag so the hunter is able to hunt the private along with all the public land in unit 61. Most hunting will be done on the public land as the bulls are not usually on the private land this tag is good for, this time of year. Success on this hunt has been 90% kill and 100% opportunity on 300 class bulls over the years.

I have hunted with this outfitter along with my brother and friends and can tell you...........they will do whatever they can to get you your elk!!
