FWIW I don't know Doug from Adam and wouldn't recognize the guy were he to appear on my doorstep as I write this.

Having said that, Bristol Bay has again provided adequate salmon returns to its spawning streams and if I am correct on the location of Dougs camp, his stream is no exception. I believe hunters operating out of his camp should expect to see semi fat brown bears and in possible abundance to reduce to possession. The fall fishing should be good and if a client wasn't familiar with fly fishing for big rainbows I'd consider learning.

The fall colors seem to be starting a little early and it might be a good year for bull moose calling. Not that I want to make any trouble for Doug but it might make a good story to get run into the river by an overly agressive grunted in and out of season moose. 60" pissed off bulls are scary.

The ADF&G and the local advisory board thinks there is a large enough herd of bears to merit the (2) per year. Please feel free to partake.

Good luck to all.

Hey Scott
We should make it a point to run into each other in Dill one of these days. I get in there a couple times a year for various reasons. We should get together and shoot the Bull so to speak.
Witht that said it seems as though the High water conditions of late have the Bears by us on the move and extremely hungry. Problems in Base camp already. Lots of fish just tough for the Bears to get at em. Should be really good Hunting as they seem to be on their feet and moving in and off the River regularly looking for anything to eat.
Thanks

I still have this hunt available. Sept 19-26 2011.
Thought I had it sold but it just didnt work outas he wanted to come with a partner but he couldnt get him to commit.
Report from Our Camp is the first 4 days of the season is first 3 Hunters in camp are tagged out with 1 Bear each. And we are seeing multiple Bears each day.
One A/R Member (scruffy7)tagged a Beautiful 8'6" Boar. All the rest of the Bears taken have been in the 8' Range.
I can do this last remaining hunt for 8000.00 total and includes the harvest of 1 Bear. This hunt is fully guided and catered, meals and accommodations.
If you wish to harvest a 2nd Bear it will be a 2000.00 Trophy fee.

Additional costs are :

Non Resident Hunting License 85.00
Brown Bear Tag 500.00
The 2nd Tag is optional @ 500.00

I am hoping someone will grab this deal.
