Charlie, I have noticed a huge up-tick in the cost of Kudu.

But not that much!

I like the $1800 airport transfer.

Lot of money to stuff 4 people in a van for a couple of hours.

How much to skin and cape?

How much for the PH or is it included?

Some of those animals are crazy expensive an eland for $4000

We see new outfitters every week.

You would have thought he'd priced himself equal to what everyone else was doing.

Anytime I see a sliding scale for trophy fees it indicates a put and take type safari. My bet is that many of these animals are purchased from game breeders and then released on the property.

A couple years ago I drove through a game breeding area. I saw one small fenced enclosure with at least a dozen Kudu bulls inside of various sizes. Some were quite large.

$ 300 for a baboon! Wow.

Good luck selling such high prices. Some of these are 2x+ my fees from past hunts. I would think a new poster here would sell at attractive rates and build trust and clients before raising prices.

And never forget the stupidity of selling animals by size!

This is the sort of operation you will never see me hunt with!

I would hope that this Outfitter does not take "Offense" to these replies. These replies are actually spot on in my opinion. I would hope that they would take them as constructive criticism and consider revising their business model.

It would be very difficult to stay competitive with this offering.

My suggestion, for what it is worth (probably not a whole as I have only hunted RSA 3 times) is the following:

Lower or remove the airport transfer cost, remove the price by inches, review what other Outfitters are offering and make your hunt packages comparable, be active on the forum and address the members concerns. We all hate taking criticism but in this case it could ultimately benefit this company.

This is the attitude that will win clients and admiration here on AR.

If Bushwack had this attitude, one can only imagine the clients from AR he would have had the last several years.

AR can be a very tough place or a very welcoming place. For good reasons!
