No.

The reality is this - you made your first post on this website, albeit a rather unusual one. You have no history here, posted no reference material of any sort, no website, no status with the Namibia PH Association. You are asking for investors to help you get set up in the hunting business or are in need of cash to continue. You are posting this on a website and hoping to snag someone that has money. Anyone with the kind of money you are looking for will not likely respond to post on the internet. This tells me that you have exhausted all avenues in Namibia to raise the money to get into a hyper-competitive business where you do not state if you have experience or not.

You state 5 years of plainsgame hunting with "all expenses paid". You gave no details such as - what does "all expenses paid" cover? My airfares from the US for 4 trips per year for 5 years? What?

A GMail email address says you do not have your own domain.

Just looks a bit odd to me and the other experienced posters on AR.

If you are serious, put out a business plan in detail.

Good luck.

Not really, how about you post details (amount, etc.) on what you are proposing. Or maybe you should read the regulations at the top of this forum and abide by them. Do you typically just walk into someones house and begin doing what you please?

Jacques, since you list your location as Mariental you should know my friend Andre. Also, maybe the folks at Lapa Langa. (Also run the abbatoir). I can call them and ask them to vouch for you. If you are as you say you will know Andre.

Millions? You poor impoverished bastard Big Grin.

As for the offer, sounds great, I haven't seen a better way to be permanently seperated from $25,000 of my favorite dollars in at least a month. Probably just keep my cash tho, if I was gonna give it away with no return I'd rather give it to a charity.

Wow - I invest $25K and I get a monthly payment of 2K per month and an all expense trip each year for the next 5 years. If my math is right that comes out to $120,000 in monthly profit over 5 years plus 5 all expense paid hunting trips. I never realized there was that much of a profit margin running a hunting operation in Namibia.

All those Namibian outfitters must sure be making a killing. I have $50 million in Zimbabwe dollars that I'll give you for this great opportunity. You can keep the change, since both are of equal value.

Jacques,

Having obtained your contact from the internet that you deserve trust, coupled with my deep interest to invest in your country, I decided to contact and solicit your mutual assistance at all cost.

Nevermind these paranoid folks. Any man that can head shoot antelope can clearly be trusted in a business deal. As a young boy I shot many a squirrel in the head, so as you can see I too can be trusted. (I also once shot myself in the head with a Red Ryder but we can save that discussion for around the fire!)

As for the accusations by some concerning a previous criminal record, I am sure that the name Jacques de Waal is as common in Namibia as the name Raj Rajaratnam is here in the States.

Given the above facts and your new post count of seven, I am willing to invest in what is clearly an outstanding offer. I only ask that you wire a small refundable deposit in the amount of $5000.00 US to cover the fees involved in my subsequent large wire transfer to you in Namibia. I also need your assurance that Dr. Pepper will be available in camp at all times. If possible I would also like to request that I be given exclusive rights to all squirrel on quota on our properties. (Eager to discuss my ideas concerning the pioneering of the African gourmet varmint market!)

Please contact me ASAP so that I can pass on my account information. I sincerely look forward to what is a guaranteed be a long and fruitful business relationship.

Oh the heads we will shoot Jacques!

Regards,
The Honorable Jonathan Doe

OK. Here is a proposition for you. I will hold my 25k investment in a U.S. bank account. You collect and hold my 2K a month for 12 months and I'll forgo my first free hunt. After 12 months you pocket my 24k. From that point forward you can then send me 2k a month and let me head shoot springbok!

Sounds like a good deal for both of us! You get to pocket the cost of one of my hunts and I forgo the risks of dealing with an unknown quantity in a foriegn country.

BONUS: I'll even throw in a free elk hunt here in the U.S.

How can you say no?
