I know that American Airlines will not transport firearms to London but does anyone know if they will transport them on a domestic flight connecting to a British Airways flight and check the bags all the way through? The itinerary I'm looking at is Reno - Dallas on American and Dallas - Heathrow on British.

Unless they've changed their policy BA will want you to physically check on to the Dallas-Heathrow flight with your luggage. You can't check it through from Reno to Heathrow. American's policies are moot in this situation.
