BohonkieMozambique Visa
Anyone know of a good source to get a visa for Mozambique?
I'm going for Southern Buffalo this Fall. The last time I did this I had to mail my wife's and my passports (originals) to Wash D.C., pay approx $750, and work within a very short window (few weeks prior to vist and visa good only for a few weeks). Pucker factor was intense for getting passports and visas on time - or at all. I used VisaHQ.
We have heard of folks buying these at JNB or at Mozambique entry but this is no longer.
Is there a better, safer, less expensive way?
Thanks much -

I hope you have a long time frame. I was told some of the embassy's can take a very long time.

D. NelsonJim et al;
We went twice and both times I mailed out to Moz embassy. For a few dollars extra (if I remember correctly $50+/) it would be expedited and in less than a week passports with Visas were returned. I did have to send them the overnight return paid envelope from FedEx. I always stress but both times went fine.
Best regards, D. Nelson

Hi
If you can wait till next week i can find out the currant status they wanted to stop issuing visas on point of entry multiple times in the past but did not change it. normally on big points of entry you could get a 30 days tourist visa this can be extended once in country. However you going to need a letter of invitation from a Mozambican registered Safari company for a visa application at the embassy this your outfitter should provide. just ask for 30 full days extra time before and after the hunt if anything changes you coved and don't have to run around because the flight is delayed ctc.
Cheers
