Thinking of heading to kenya and zim for some agricultural projects this coming jan. Was going to try to hunt a little while in zim. Obviously i can not take hunting rifles into Nairobi,so i was thinking of flying to zim first do work leave rifles with ph and then fly to nairobi for 3-4 days and come back and hunt. Do you think the zim officials will notice i left and came back without the weapons i brought into country.

I dunno, but I wouldn't take the chance. I'd try to arrange rental or loaner rifles instead. xxxxxxxxxx When considering US based operations of guides/outfitters, check and see if they are NRA members. If not, why support someone who doesn't support us? Consider spending your money elsewhere. NEVER, EVER book a hunt with BLAIR WORLDWIDE HUNTING or JEFF BLAIR. I have come to understand that in hunting, the goal is not the goal but the process.

this is what loaners are made for, unless you fancy a stay in the honeymoon suite of a Zim jail. Vote Trump- Putin’s best friend… To quote a former AND CURRENT Trumpiteer - DUMP TRUMP

I would suggesting checking with a gun club in Harare or Bulawayo and ask them. They can direct you to the proper gov't and police officials for your questions. I could be wrong, but my understanding is that as a visiting hunter, you have a permit for your rifles in country for the period of your hunt. Nothing more.

This would seem to be the best option.

I would go for a loaner or rental. Don't want to go to jail here in the states let alone in Zim. & you durn sure can't count on anybody in this administration to come to your aid! Brent, That's what the thread was about earlier in the year concerning Zim Customs asking people to verify they had in fact left Zim with X,Y,Z guns. Follow Martin's advise as you might be putting Terry in jeopardy by leaving your guns with him. Mark MARK H. Yeah kinda thought it would be illegal. I just have never seen a computer at Bulawayo airport so did not know if they would have any idea. Sure i can use a loaner rifle, but really like mine. Oh well. Have friends in south africa as well, but i know they would catch it. Crappy laws all over the place makes trips like this one difficult.
