You'll want to get your RSA gun permit ahead of time anyway. You don't want to be filling that thing out once you arrive as it will be a huge PIA.

you have to get pre-authorization with qatar for firearms and then fill out another form for them at the check in counter. get your travel agent to get your firearms pre-authorized, it was noted on the bottom of our ticket info sheets when I traveled to SA in May 2021. If you did your own tickets, you probably need to call qatar and find out how to achieve this.

I would strongly suggest using one of the multitude of companies that handle RSA permits for hunters. It will be $100-$200 well spent.

I'm leaving July 22 on Qatar to JoBerg. Went with Gracy travel and had them handle everything.
