brent - I have taken a bow and a rifle many times to Africa as well as Stateside in my Tuff Pak case. Just make sure you get the one that is wide enough for a compound. Put the bow in a soft case, the rifle in a soft case then pack in a Tuff Sack, slide into Tuff Pak, done deal. No better way to carry both that I know of. You can usually get boots, extra clothes and a few other items in as well and stay under the 50# airline limit. Contact Harry, AR member, in Texas as he is a distributor for TP and will get you set up. Good luck on your hunt.

SKB makes a double bow case, intended to carry two compound bows. I have regularly put one compound bow in the case, and a rifle in soft case on the other side where the second bow is intended. Works great. Can even add a little clothing for additional padding up to the 50 pound weight limit.

I use to have a SKB double bow case that I regularly used to carry by compound bow, a rifle and a shotgun in. It would certainly work. I can't remember the model number/name though. I sold it last year, and a word of warning about these models, the guy who purchased it could not fit his bow in it. It was the newer parallel limb design bow.

Here's the SKB http://www.casesbyskb.com/gun/...-rifle-case-5014.htm

Had to go to archery to find it 2 rifles and a bow is what one page says. Their site is hard to find things on.

I would recommed the TrffPak.

As Larry Sellers states, make sure you got one wide enough for your bow and long enough for your rifle.

I am a tuff pak guy, but I use the SKB double bow case for gun and bow combo. I can also fit arrow tube and some clothes in there as well...

Used the SKB rifle/bow combo model case on two trips to Afica -- had to have the case replaced under warranty both times -- airline gorillas managed to bend the case on both trips ---GRRR!
Sold the case after the last trip -- next time will use something else.
I have a tuffpak -- but-- my compound is just a bit oversize and thus will not fit widthwise in the tuffpak or that would definately be the case of choice

OMG!-- my bow is "pull-push feed" - how dreadfully embarrasing!!!!!

I have a double bow SKB case if anyone is interested, PM me. I would never use it on an airline trip for bows or rifles. Tuff Pak, get the right one, wider for compound bows, and you will have no problem with the bow/rifle combo.

Larry, which skb case are you speaking of? My bow is a parallel limb and is about 13" wide. I have tried it and rifle in a tuff pak, doesn't work.

i have used a SKB double bow case several times and worked fine but the bow was an older Mathews. the newer parallel limb design may not fit. if it does, you will save a fair amount of money over a Tuffpak.
