Scott PowellYou know...
It's kinda funny - we always get the "Evil Eye" when we declare we are checking firearms but all the wack jobs that go nuts on flights never get a second glance...

If it was Pelosi or Boxer the plane would have blown up from the stink!

Bill/OregonHope they can track down the source. If it is some kind of solvent or other chemical, it might be capable of causing harm.
There is hope, even when your brain tells you there isn’t.

Crop dusting is farting and walking away from it.

BuffHunter63I was on a SouthWest flight one day and prior to take off, an ungodly smell wafted to me. I turned to my seat mate and exclaimed. "Whoa, what was that smell?".
He indicated a man who appeared to be from Bangladesh or India or someplace. The guy had just walked by and was stinking up everything.
I felt so bad for whomever had to sit next to him!
I wish airlines enforced personal hygiene rules for passengers!

A7DaveUnrelated, but we had a kid in the Navy who we took to Captain's Mast because he refused to shower and stank to high heaven. He was about to get a "blanket party" from the other sailors in his bunk room because they couldn't stand the smell. He had to report every day to our Senior Chief Petty Officer with his soap and towel to prove he'd bathed. Prior to that he smelled like a dead dog on the highway. Foul.

AnotherAZWriterI sat next to the CEO and founder of a Silicon Valley company who had incredibly bad body odor. The flight attendant actually gave me her perfume so I could spray it after he slept.
At one point he woke up and raised his arm; I looked at him and said, "Sir, would you mind lowering your arm? You have incredibly bad body odor."
After we deplaned I told him he smelled like he had not bathed in a month.

jdollarI have made many flights on regional southern African carriers where most passengers smelled like they were raised in a cesspool.

I don't notice Africa being bad; India is terrible. BTW, the CEO mentioned above was an old fat white guy.

Austin HunterI've been flying 75-80% of the time over the last 11 years for my job. Mainly in the US, but also Asia and Europe. And personal trips to Africa.
Favorite American airline: Alaska Air - hands down. I'd say Virgin America, but they were bought by Alaska.
For Asia legs - Cathay Pacific, Singapore Air
For Europe - British Airways
Trying KLM first time tomorrow for Namibia.

Beretta682EI recently flew delta to Amsterdam and back from Paris and was impressed with the seats, entertainment system, food and service in economy. All of them other than entertainment were as good or better than Emirates. The flight crew was older but it is a airplane not a strip club.
I flew airfrance 340 and the plane was old and terrible. My iPhone 7 Plus screen was bigger than the in seat entertainment screen. Airfrance also lost one of bags but they were able to find it and get it to me next day.

crbutlerFrankly, all I want is to get where I am going in a shape to do what I want when I get there.
People who don’t bathe, etc. are unpleasant but after draining an abscess or two and retained tampons, stenches are an annoyance.
The prices they charge nowadays, you should be getting a luxury hotel room. Or as an old pilot exclaimed, I am buying a ride, not the damned aircraft!
