My son and I going on a leopard plainsgame hunt with Richard Bell-Cross. I'm thinking of adding a 2 or 3 days to visiting Livingstone. I'm looking for advice for things to do, and also where to stay. Is there any decent tigerfishing in the area?? Go Duke!!

Brad, My family and I stayed at this place when I went on my first safari back in 2010: https://www.waterberrylodge.com/ It wasn't terribly fancy, but it was clean and friendly, and the rates were reasonable. The main point for us was seeing the falls, anyway. I spent the money I saved on trophy fees. They were able to arrange some excursions for us ahead of time. Helicopter ride over the falls and down Batoka Gorge was probably the coolest thing. I caught two or three tigerfish off their dock with a borrowed pole and a Rapala, but I think they could connect you with a proper guide service (assuming someone on here doesn't pipe in and name a great tigerfish outfit). I think they also arrange tours to the Chobe reserve. We did not mention to the lodge staff that we were about to go on a hunting safari, as it seemed none of their business and a potential opportunity for conflict, at least with other guests. To be honest, though, I never got any indication that the information would be poorly received. We've communicated in the past. Feel free to reach out to me via PM if you'd like any additional information as you guys get ready for your safari. I'm envious! Best, David
