I just returned from Tanzania Monday and I use a Tuffpak for rifles with NO TSA lock. I also check a duffel with the ammo box in it with a (first time) non- TSA lock with extra locks in ammo box. On the duffel itself, I put a small TSA lock on zipper tangs of duffel. I had no problems except the procedure in Arusha of breaking open Tuffpak for serial nos. As far as ammo they counted it going in and counted and weighed it going out. I will not put a TSA lock on my rifle case the regs don't require it.
