shakariIt was 4C here by the SW corner of the KNP by 10 pm last night and gonna be even colder tonight...... and it's really stuffing up banana and other fruit trees.

Still it could be worse. I spoke to Chris Troskie today and he has clients who are scheduled for an early morning hot air balloon flight tomorrow or the next day....... bugger that for a lark!

JudgeGIt's all because Al Gore was busy with his new honey and forgot to pass out enough carbon dioxide in RSA.
JudgeG ... just counting time 'til I am again finding balm in Gilead chilled out somewhere in the Selous.

L. David KeithAh, the piggies and wartie's aren't gonna like this one bit. It could be devastating to some of them. It may look beautiful to our eyes but to the indigenous game it's serious. If Chris takes that hot air balloon ride, I bet that will be a story to tell

Could evolution spawn us a Snowbok?

Every morning the Zebra wakes up knowing it must outrun the fastest Lion if it wants to stay alive. Every morning the Lion wakes up knowing it must outrun the slowest Zebra or it will starve. It makes no difference if you are a Zebra or a Lion; when the Sun comes up in Africa, you must wake up running......
"If you're being chased by a Lion, you don't have to be faster than the Lion, you just have to be faster than the person next to you."

shakariThe cold won't affect the game much except to mean they'll be slower to get up in the mornings.... esp the pigs.
What really stuffs up the warthogs is the heavy summer rain because the piglets drown in the burrows.

...people might also wake up to "snow" on Wednesday.
But forget about building a snowman. It's not snow but the so-called black frost causing the blanket of white.
From the photo, it doesn't look like black frost. Must be the language barrier slang that often confuses me.
