I appreciated d.ungers question about Swakopmund and the responses to it so I will ask the same about the East Cap/Port Elizabeth. My wife and mother-in-law will be accompanying me on my hunt with ARs own Dave Davenport this July. This may be the last overseas trip for my mil so I would like her to see all the good stuff with my wife. I will ask Dave and Nikki but would like your view as well. Thanks, Dave

Regarding Cape Town, I haven't been there in years but when I did go, I had two teenage boys in tow and there was plenty to do. The Victoria & Albert waterfront is a huge mall with some Africa-specific stores (geared to tourists), a really interesting aquarium (Two Oceans, it's called), and of course Table Mountain. Cape Town is a large enough tourist destination that a guide book from your local bookstore will probably be of some help, too. I recall there was an IMAX theater at the waterfront that may still be there--seems like it was associated with BMW? Be aware that Table Mountain is VERY popular, and lines can be long--the schools take kids on field trip up there often. Check this website: http://www.capetown.travel/attractions As to Port Elizabeth, Addo Elephant Park is nearby--rent a car and make a day of it. Or, there are camping facilities at the park. http://www.sanparks.org/parks/addo/ Have fun! We hunted near Komga north of East London, my girlfriend (at the time) and I went to the coastal town of Morgan Bay, beautiful little town right on the beach very scenic for a getaway from the hunt. We also went to a Wildlife park between East London and Komga, wish I could remember the name because it was a great drive through the park.

Dave, While I'm sure that Dave and Nikki will have plenty of ideas for your observers, be sure they consider: Tour nearby Graaf-Reinet Camdeboo National Park Mountain Zebra National Park Cheetah Rescue [along the road from PE to Graaf-Reinet There is a farm in the area where they hunt with Cheetahs [Dave will know where] Addo Elephant Park can be a great day trip [as well as adjacent Scotia Safaris Game Farm]. In PE- The Beach area, The Summerstrand, is nice, there is a small Casino along there as well as a small shopping venue. Along the coast west of PE - Tsitsikamma National Park/Storms River Mouth.[as well as Storms River Bridge] East of PE, Grahamstown, Bathurst and Port Alfred are interesting little towns to visit. Just north of PE [where the N10 and the N2 highways split] the Nanaga Farmstall and Restaurant is a nice refreshment stop with shopping too as I recall. Then, of course, the Garden Route from PE to Cape Town has many things to see and do as does cape Town and the Wine Country. Have a great trip! If you can, spend a few extra days and look around. Be sure to tell Dave I was "helping him"! Les
