I was there in June. I had one copy filled out before arriving. Give it to the officer on duty, he will fill out his paperwork using the information from the form you filled out. He will give you a copy of his form that you keep until you turn it in when you leave.

When I was there in September, only one copy was needed, IIRC. If you don't have one or lost yours, DON'T worry, as there is a whole pad of them laying on the desk complete with pens to write on them with. I believe that the police official who checked mine had the special ability of being able to read upside down because as he was reading the serial numbers on my rifles he was holding the permit upside down and nodding his head.

Regards,
Jason

I brought mine with me, already filled out. I think I printed it off the Namibia PH Association web page.

My group went right ahead of those filling out upon arrival. Seemed the police didn't like to wait on those.

When I worked the booking desk, I could read upside down/backwards...even got to where I could print that way too!!

It took us longer to find a police officer than it did to register our guns.

Same Here- I bet I waited 15-20 minutes for them to show up in their "office"; once they got back from their break the whole process took 2-3 minutes!
