If you were going to stay a week in DC and had the choice of one of these hotels... • Willard Intercontinental • Waldorf Astoria • The Hay-Adams • The Jefferson ...which one would you pick and why? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ J. Lane Easter, DVM A born Texan has instilled in his system a mind-set of no retreat or no surrender. I wish everyone the world over had the dominating spirit that motivates Texans.– Billy Clayton, Speaker of the Texas House No state commands such fierce pride and loyalty. The Intercontinental or the Waldorf. I get points on both, but have Gold Hilton Status which makes the Waldorf a better choice points wise. The Willard is very nice. The Hay-Adams is very nice and great location. Conference or holiday?

Just came back from a week in DC. If Trump is in town, there will be protesters at the White House and it gets loud and roads get closed off. Of those four I would pick either the Jefferson or Waldorf and would lean towards Waldorf, just because of its location nearer to the Mall. Enjoy and definitely walk the Mall AFTER dark.

Waldorf per huntfish1963: great location. Hilton points are a plus for us Hilton-ophiles. You can't go wrong with any of your choices though.

The Willard. A place of legend. Deals made in the bar by some of America's most historically influential. Not to mention more than a few internationals. Find a table against the wall, order your favorite beverage, sit back and soak it in. 114-R10David
