members is of paramount importance at this time. By working closely with the Dubai
Health Authority, we are ensuring the correct procedures are taken in the airport

standards.
As part of our response to the ongoing situation around Covid-19, Dubai Airports can
confirm the following information, as directed by the UAE’s General Civil Aviation

airlines may have implemented flight cancellations for commercial reasons, we advise
customers to check with their airline in advance of travel.

Effective March 17, UAE authorities have temporarily suspended the issuance of all
entry visas. This does not apply to those passengers holding diplomatic passports or
those who have had visas issued prior to March 17.

thermal scanning process as they pass through customs.
Those arriving from any of the countries listed below will undergo thermal screening and
nasal swab. This level of screening is being carried out by Dubai Health Authority’s
(DHA) airport medical centre team at Dubai International (DXB) and limited to the
following countries:

• Italy – Rome

Screening on Departure

All passengers departing on passenger flights bound for destinations in the United
States will also undergo thermal screening.

Update.

Until further notice, no visitors are allowed into the UAE, regardless of nationalities.

UAE citizens are not allowed out of the country.

These measures are temporary, and reviewed daily.

Does that include changing flights at the airport or is it only for people actually entering the country?

I think these do not apply to transit passengers.

Thanks Saeed. They canceled the Dubai to Harare route yesterday through late May, so I'm going to have to reschedule my trip.

Check that Zimbabwe will let you in.
I am sure you do not wish to be quarantined there.

I just rebooked. I was supposed to go to Save on 4/20 through 5/8. Emirates fell first, then HRE closed & SA is not accepting US residents so can't drive there.

Fortunately Emirates is waiving change fees and honoring credit for 1 year from booking date.

I now leave 9/28 and return 10/16.

Dubai airport is closed, and reviews about this are done every two weeks.

Certain flights, with special permits, are flying.

Mainly repatriating people back to their home countries.
