We're leaving Sept 8 for Namibia. Thinking about trying Africa Sky. How far from the airport are they? We stayed at Afton house last year. Good experience.

C:

I believe they are about 10 miles from ORT. Check out their site www.africasky.co.za

We will be there on Sept 22 before heading on to Zim.

Chuck,
While Afton House has been catering to hunters for many years and has a loyal following, I stayed at the African Sky Guesthouse the last two years and found it much nicer than the Afton... better accommodations and excellent cuisine. It will be my "stopover" on my trip to Moz next year.

How does the African Sky GH compare in price to Afton?

About the same...

The wife and I overnighted there June 24th. Great stay, great service. The rooms where very nice as where all the people.

Just about 10 minutes from the airport.

They served me the best Beef Filet I have EVER eaten!

I will second the beef filet comment. It is out of this world. Nice place and I will stay again on my next trip.

Great food, The lamb chops were the best I have ever had.
A quiet place for unwinding with nice clean rooms and good beds.

Three of us stayed at Africa Sky for the first time on June 25th. We wanted to try it after reading good things from other AR members.

Africa Sky is, in a word, outstanding!

We've stayed at Afton before, and enjoyed it. But in our opinion Africa Sky is a notch above. Our room was excellent and the food and service were beyond expectations! We will use Africa Sky from now on.
