PCR testing is available at 3 locations at LAX now. One promises results in 3 - 5 hours and the other at less than 24 hours. They send the results digitally and comes as a PDF document then one can download and print.

That takes care of worries about making the 48 hour time frame for Zimbabwe travel when one is transiting through Dubai with 15 hour layover.

There is also one location at DFW in the American Airlines terminal (E) that give results within 2 hours, pretty pricey, though. But the other places doing rapid PCR tests are pretty pricey, too.

Houston Texas also has a PCR testing center that's only 15 minutes from IAH and 1-2 hours for results.
