Planning now for RSA in August. I really want to do something different this trip. Last year I hunted Zimbabwe and drove through Botswana. My clients are getting their dates ready now and I was thinking of visiting Kenya or Tanzania before heading down to RSA. I really want to see one of the big migrations. Wanted to get any information from any of you that have been to the Masi Mora or Serengeti. Is it that much better than Kruger or the Okavango?

Ngoro Ngoro Crater is worth the trip. The migration has already left the crater area but you can still drive to see it. http://isafari.nathab.com/the-...zUvcUCFVGTfgodBoMA6w You will fly into Arusha. Go see Kilamanjaro. Climb Mt. Meru. There is a Park at Meru.( old Trapp Farm) You will see Northern Tanzania species you won't find in southern Africa. Not sure how it compares with Okavongo. Definitely better than Kruger, IMO. Whatever you do, enjoy your trip.

You might find this to be useful: http://www.naturalhighsafaris....wildebeest-migration I've been to many National Parks in Kenya and Tanzania, as well as the Kruger (never been to Okavongo though). Amboseli in Kenya gives you Mt. Kilimanjaro as a back-drop, the NgoroNgoro Crater is also spectacular as a setting, and for my money there is no equal to either of these places. The Serengeti (or Masai Mara on the Kenya side of the border) has the herds, so it's all about the animals. The Northern Circuit in Tanzania (Lake Manyara, NgoroNgoro, Serengeti) is almost unbeatable as a parks tour/vacation. Between NgoroNgoro and Serengeti there is also Olduvai Gorge for a rest stop and quick trip to their small museum. _________________________________ AR, where the hopeless, hysterical hypochondriacs of history become the nattering nabobs of negativisim.
